well i watched it. and i liked it very much. i am definately gonna watch this show. i sure hope they will not ruin it.

comf! i am usually drinking with my friends at that day. and in estonia we don't celebrate it. so no kids running up and down the street.

...yawn - what a boring show - this must be the most anticipated same ol' zombie story of all times. There are a gazillion zombie movies out there and stretching the same story line to a full series or maybe even several seasons is just - wait for it, I have to yawn again - boring!

true BB. But imo this is the only zombie TV show. and i think the cgi was great in this show.

Yep - it was well made. First class zombies - gory as hell - so what?
Why is there no plot?
Why are those few people not iffected?
Why do those few people behave so stupidly?
Why did he not get infected when he was inbetween atleast 20 zombies?
Why are the zombies so slow - all the time - and suddenly they can run?
Why are they trying to bring up a love triangle plot?
Why is there almost no music?
Why did they make this show?
Why should viewers need to tune in each week to see their zomie kill of the week?
Why do I care?

you have a bunch of good points. i'm not trying to defend this show, but i'll add some of my thoughts.
this was a preair. there might be some plot, some music, bettermoving zombies. this is amerika. they make shows about things. remember they made twilight the movie. what else is there to prove. for instance for me the biggest thing that bugged me the most was that the police dude never asked what date it was to know how long he was in the hospital.

Oh - that too. If you are lying unconciously in bed without a huge iv and a big gun shot wound in your body you'll problay dead in 2 days. For an apocalypse where all was normal before and two days later all are dead or undead that is just rediculous

1. The plot is the world has been over taken by zombies...or did you miss that bit?
2. They arent infected because they didnt get bitten....or did you miss that bit as well?

4.This is a good point, the zombies went for the horse first when he was in the middle of them but they apparently ignored it for the month or so in the field before before he turned up
5. They actually said the are slow until they get worked up and hungry...guess you missed that too

I'm being just diappointed. If you have never seen any zombie movies this show is certainly for you because it's all new.
But 'cmon - if you've seen two movies you've seen about everything this show has to offer. To make it interesting they need to introduce something special. If the show is literally about "The Walking Dead" then it's boring by default - the undead just walk around and try to get some brain. How much story can you press out of that for a series? This is simply not entertaining as a series!
The only thing I liked was Lennie James, he gave the show a short Jericho feeling - until he did the target practice 
This is the preair which will be pretty much exactly the pilot, except they might cut some scenes because the preair is too long. So 1x01 might even be less attractive.
There was nothing left for me to keep this show on my watchlist, not even the very last cliffhanger, that will be solved in 1x02 in either a dull cheesy way or a simple solution like driving of with it
