There is no public API, no, what would you use it for, specifically? Cheers
i figure my openclaw has access to sonarr, radarr, plex, overseerr plex has everything for the family. i use NE to track my own stuff and discover new stuff i figure we could create a skill to look at things like our watchlist and informtion about the shows Maybe i could feed this back into openclaw/ai to improve my workflow

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Re: Request a Missing Show page Could we have something to collapse our own requests, please? I've requested a lot over the years and the scrolling is a little annoying. Maybe show the last 5 requests or the last month, plus as-yet unfulfilled requests for the non-Premium users?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Makes sense. Made it so it would show the last 5 added requests + as many as there are - Pending. Cheers!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Hi! I just noticed a bug (?) on the website regarding the special episodes. As a premium member, if you choose to hide the special episodes and then you mark the last episode of a season watched, if there are any special episodes connecting to that season they will also get marked watched. So in theory it can mess up the time spent section. Example: I was watching Detectorists which has 18 episodes in total and two special ones. As soon as I marked the last episode of season 2 watched the related special episode was also marked watched. Same happened now when I finished the third season. For this show this would not be a problem, considering that I intended to watch the 2 special episodes too and that there are only 2. But I wouldn't like the same to happen with other shows where there might be dozens of special episodes each season. Is this intentional ? Thanks!

I can tell you that, if you use the "hide specials" function, the specials are not counted in the "Time Spent" section either. With the function activated you only see the Time Spent from regular episodes. But you shouldn't be able to see the specials if you have activated the function? And if not, the specials shouldn't get automatically marked as watched either. I tried recreating what you described and couldn't do it. Wit the function activated, when I mark all regular episodes of season 2 of the show you mentioned as watched and than deactivate the function - the regular episodes are marked as watched and the specials are still there unmarked. So the special was not marked as watched.
Deserved more runtime: Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier https://next-episode.net/user/WilliamDrakeMcGregor/

I don't see the specials with the function activated, that part works as intended. Maybe it's a bug just for me then? I don't know. How I noticed it was that when I finished the second season special episode I deactivated the function to go and mark the special as watched as well. It was already marked watched, so I assumed that it was an error on my part, I already marked it I just didn't remember. But yesterday I specifically paid attention to this. When I finished the last episode of the 3rd season, the show disappeared from my Episodes page. I deactivated the function so I could mark the special episode watched as well, but it was already marked so.

I also tried to replicate this behavior, but wasn't able to. Also looking at the code - I don't see anything that can cause this. I can see you used both the website and the app. If you're often turning off/on this setting, it's possible it may've been temporarily desynced (you thought it was on on the website, but it was off because you turned it off on the app and didn't refresh the site) or something like that. Can you please try to replicate this problem? Unmark the same episodes from this show from being watched and try and go through the same steps to see if you'll get the same result. Let me know!

Well, now I can't replicate it either. Weird. What I did: 1. I marked the whole season, special included, unwatched. 2. I marked all normal episodes watched using the website. 3. In this case the special didn't get marked as watched. 4. I repeated step 1 5. I marked all normal episodes watched using the app. 6. Now the special episodes didn't get marked as watched either. I do use both the app and the website, sometimes I mark episodes watched in the app, sometimes using the site. Even for the same show. So maybe it's a syncing issue like you say. Anyway, thanks for the help!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
On the schedule page (https://next-episode.net/schedule/), and maybe others, it would be nice to be able to mouse-hover over a show title and a popup box appears with basic information about the show. That way, I don't need to open 20 new tabs for shows that I may or may not be interested in. The popup could also include the "Add To Watchlist" button for quick and easy usage. Thanks

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Can we get an checkbox or something under our "Episodes" to make it so only shows with an unwatched, completed season will show up? I have a ton of shows (mainly anime) under my episodes that airing currently but I don't like to watch until the season is finished.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Unfortunately, there is no reliable, automated way to get "completed season" info about enough shows for this feature to be possible.

Why on that page specifically? Same can be added to the homepage, calendar, 'you may also like' etc. It can happen, but I don't really see the need for that, for now ...

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Would it be possible to implement a way to mark an entire season as acquired despite release dates? A current example is A Woman of Substance https://next-episode.net/a-woman-of-substance-2026 All episodes are listed at TVDB https://thetvdb.com/series/a-woman-of-substance-2026 and the scene has released all episodes despite the dates on TVDB. I'd like to mark them as acquired in one swoop instead of week by week.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Hello! I'm unsure if this has been suggested before because I couldn't find it, but would it be possible to implement an option to sort the shows in a list in different ways? The Watchlist and My Movies both have a sorting option, but you don't have any inside specific lists. I personally use lists for all the shows I want to watch but I'm not actively following yet, so they don't all appear under Episodes, and it would be nice to be able to order them by date added, date released, etc. A filter to only show series that have ended would also be very helpful!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
It's a good idea, well worth considering. I'll revisit the Lists functionality soon anyway (because I want to add Movies in there as well) so sorting and/or a filter may make it then as well.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Actually another suggestion: adding something that allows shows or movies to be marked as "rewatched/rewatching" so we can keep track of how many times we have watched the same thing, and potentially add those additional plays to the Time Spent calculation? I rewatch shows and movies often, and moving over here from Trakt I noticed that missing, it was super useful. Right now if you wanted to rewatch a show and stop at a certain episode, you'd need to remove the show from watched and re-add it anew.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Could we get an imdb-link for the actors / actressess on their pages? The reason would be to see not only which tv shows they are in but also which movies. An alternative would be to add the movies they are in on the actor page as well

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Would it be possible in 'Assign Services' to add one that the user can fill in. Obviously you cannot list all broadcasters and so would be good if we could add it just for our own accounts

Just a thought, but have you tried using the "Tag" option? You can make your own tags in the settings (settings -> custom tags) and assign them in the settings themselves or in the episodes list as well (same place you assign services).

Yeah, the plan is to add the cast to the movies as well. Will happen!

As WilliamDrakeMcGregor suggested - if the available services do not suit your needs - use the custom tags! Cheers
