So once this is Y/Y I would consider the season finished and would watch.

Would be great to have something like that!

Yes, that's also what I meant. smile Would be helpful to get notifications/ mails for that. Like "A show you follow just completed its season" (but possibly phrased more nicely lol).

it would be a nice feature to have for those shows where it is known.

most of the shows that I've checked and it says X out of Y episodes ordered

Unfortunately it's not *most* of the shows.

Out of all running shows for which we have a next episode, less than 1/3 have the season order for the currently running season (I just checked).

If I implement this notification it'll set an expectation in the user (that it'll work reliably) and in fact - it will not.

I'm pretty sure it goes up from 1/3 to something like 99% for the most popular shows. smile

Hmm... How about naming the feature "Season finished notification/ mail (Beta)", and putting a disclaimer like "Please note that we don't have the required season order info available for many shows." into every single notification/ mail that the user sees/ gets?

Not quite so I'm afraid. Here is part of the list of currently running, most popular shows with no season order info:

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

Oh, I didn't expect that, that would make a disclaimer like I suggested even more important.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

You can't even try to be clever and use previous seasons as sometimes they change counts.  Writers strikes and such would be one example of this.

The other option could be to see if the show has stopped airing for a couple of weeks and call it done that way.  Again not great as some do have a hiatus sometimes.

Yeah, being clever won't work here, that's why I think some kind of disclaimer needs to remind the user again and again about the detriments of this potentially great feature.

How often would anyone want to sort by oldest episode or most unpopular shows or worst rating? I don't think sorting by these makes much sense.

I don't know about most unpopular, but I often sort by name A-Z and Z-A, I often sort by ratings 10->0 and 0->10, and I often sort by "latest thing" and "oldest thing". Like, I do that practically every day, for all sorts of media. smile

This is quite unfortunate, however, depending on the difficulty of implementing such feature I would still use it even if it was in BETA.

Hell it could even be user "assisted" where users can mark it as season finished or something (talking out of my ass as I don't know how much work this would require so don't beat me up)

While that would be cool, I doubt santah is willing to invest the time in that aspect of the (potentially new) feature. I imagine it would require quite some coding, because it would probably require some kind of built-in trust system, where not everybody is allowed to assist, while at the same time allowing new users to come on board.

Is there a way to see on the Watchlist which shows I haven't rated yet?

Yes there is.

Go to the watchlist page and sort by "my rating".

Your rating for each show will be shown as well as you'll be able to tell which ones you haven't rated yet!

Thanks for that.
Just my thoughts on this, wouldn't it make sense that my rating is always shown then, not just when I sort after it? After all it's a "sort" function, not a "show me more info than before" function. That's how I missed it as well.

And I still think this would be great:

Thanks for all the great work.

Shows that deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Company You Keep | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

Feature request: Add an [-] Acquired tick box for shows on the calendar layout

I typically have the calendar page open on one page/monitor while acquiring that day's show in another window/monitor.  It would be awesome if I could tick the shows as `[+] Acquired` directly from that calendar page rather than have to flip around to the `Episodes` page

There's lots of left/right open space on the calendar page that widening each column shouldn't pose a problem that I can see.

While an interesting idea, how would you differentiate be watched and unwatched on the calendar page?
