Re: Features/Improvements Requests
This is my periodic request for an "ignored" tick box for seasons and episodes just like the "Watched" one .
Some shows have numerous seasons & episodes that I haven't, or cannot, watch. I'd like to be able the check them off as missed or ignored or something and have them disappear from my Episodes list while still being able to look them up in Manage Watched and see that although it's not in my Episodes, I did not actually watch them. See "The Nature of Things" for an example show.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I'm pretty sure my periodic denial was to another user who asked about a non existent feature. I guess they deleted their post so now it looks as if I was replying to you ... As for your request - can you use the acquired status for that?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I, too, would love to be able to mark shows to go away without actually marking them as watched. Today I just mark them as watched, or ignore (Stop Tracking) the show completely, depending on the show, but that does skew the View statistics. It doesn't bother me too greatly, but I'd still prefer them to be correct. The problems mainly arise with many Anime which have a bunch of Specials that I don't watch, and indeed most specials in most series, and then there are long-standing shows like the Oscars, where I'm not going to watch the old ones but I HAVE watched most of the past two decades or so. Likewise with Talk Shows, where I may watch a show here and a show there from time to time, and would like to mark them as watched, but would like the rest of the daily shows to be non-existent in my episodes list.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Well my take on this is that the system currently in place is good enough. If I marked something as 'watched' then that tells me it can be ignored because I already watched it. If I didn't watch something, and have no interest in watching it later, then it serves the same purpose since I'm gonna ignore it anyway. However, that's where the 'Acquired' box comes in handy because I can use that as a visual cue for what was watched and what wasn't, even though technically I may have marked the entire season as watched. I don't need to rely on Next Episode to remind me of what's acquired because I have other applications and resources that help keep all of my stuff organized and accounted for. I can understand the dilemma if you're into the view statistics (Time Spent), but as far as I'm concerned it's of no real value to me. Since the day that the view statistics were introduced I probably have checked those stats maybe once or twice out of either curiosity or boredom. To each his own though. The CWDC lineup is a perfect example of what I'm trying to push across the table. I watched 'Crisis On Earth-X' before watching any of the related shows in their current seasons because it was a standalone four-hour epic mini event. So basically I ticked the 'Acquired' box for each related episode across all four shows (Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow). Of course I'll probably end up watching them again once I start binging those shows but it serves as a visual reminder that I already watched them nonetheless. Now take NCIS and Smallville for examples -- I started watching NCIS in succession after season five because it piqued my interest during that time and I've already seen a majority of the episodes from seasons 1-5 as television reruns. Sure I most likely missed a few episodes here and there but my point is that I have no interest in going back. I know the characters, I understand the history and relationships between the characters, and I get the overall theme of the show. So it's okay for me to mark seasons 1-5 as watched. Smallville fits the same bill as I started watching it during season six. I've already seen a majority of the episodes from seasons 1-5 on television but the 6th season is when I started watching everything in succession. So the rest gets marked as watched and it's a wrap. The 'Shows you're not tracking' box as far as I'm concerned is like a big queue box, staging area, or a giant batters box for those of you who follow baseball, and I've never looked at it as an 'ignore feature' because it all gets piled into a box at the bottom of your Episodes page anyway. Kinda hard to ignore wouldn't you agree? The shows that aren't being tracked are temporary because my intentions are to resurrect them at some point and watch them. If I truly want to ignore something then I'm gonna remove it from my watch list altogether.

I already use Acquired for stuff I've actually acquired. Much like ArniVidar, I just reluctantly mark missed episodes/seasons as Watched. Remember when Henry Jones, Sr. said to Indiana, "I wrote them down so I wouldn't *have* to remember"? It's like that. I dislike finding a previous episode of something, finding it marked as Watched, and second-guessing myself trying to remember if I really did watch it. Yes, I could just d/l episodes or entire seasons to check, but sometimes it's not easy. I mean, have you ever tried to d/l more than one episode from RG without a premium account? I think your site would be the first to implement this feature. Yet another reason to get Premium.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I have a suggestion to add the acquired and watched boxes in the movie search results. This saves the user from having to open another tab or going to the "My Movies" page, if they are searching for a movie, adding it to their watchlist, marking it acquired, and as watched all on one screen. Then immediately be able to search for the next movie. Current steps are search movies one by one and click "Add to Watchlist". Go to "My Movies" page, select "Not Acquired" and "Not Watched" filter, then sort by "Recently Added". Last suggestion for now, a way to search/filter the "My Movies" list by movie name, especially when this list is 100+ movies. Although, not completely if the movie search lets you know that the movie was acquired/watched. Please let me know if you find these suggestions worthwhile.

They are. Especially the search part. It'll happen at some point.

This is going to sound stupid, but I can't seem to find any information on how this feature works. Can you please point me to where I can find this information? Thanks.

I understand that I can be informed of movie releases. When I go to the movie page I can browse and bring up movies but there doesn't appear to be any way to add them to the list.

I have no idea. Where would I find the setting? I am accessing next-episode on a samsung tablet using a Chrome browser. My Chrome browser site settings indicates javascript allowed. I tried using Opera and it doesn't work there either.

What is the resolution of your device? Are you seeing the mobile version of the site or the desktop one? (if there is a link in the footer of the page to go to the desktop version - it means you're looking at the mobile one)

I am using a samsung t-580 10.1 inch tablet. Screen resolution is 1920x1200 according to the manufacturer's website. Looking at the footer of the home page I do not see a link to the desktop version.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Could we get the ability to filter genres on the movie page via e.g. a droplist or something like that? e.g. select trending + scifi and bam, results! Thanks in advance!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I just had a thought about this: Since you can now check to see if a movie is out on HD, can you also check if a TV episode is out in HD? That kind of notification would certainly be of interest for me on certain shows which are hard to get, but not every show.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
This may be a nonsense feature, but if it's not too difficult to implement I'd love to be able to filter the movies by Released in Theaters but NOT released in HD. That would make for a rather short list, obviously, that basically only contains movies that are in theaters now or very recently.
