Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
k. how are they gonna fix that now?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
Only in scifi my friends. Only in scifi. Such a crazy thing. What is this? Like the 3rd new dimension reality thing? Or 4th? Anyways, great episode. Im looking forward to seeing if they brought back some dead people or not.
Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
Time travel gone awry, GREAT! It's the second time they travel back in time in Eureka and it's the second time they screw it up (for the characters). The other time they didn't fix it, and I somehow guess they are not about to fix this time either, it's going to be fun watching the clash of the alternate realities. Kudos for the writers.
Besides, glad to see Callis playing cool again, he has that "rat pack presence", somewhat vintage and I much rather like to see him here than killing his carreer in FlashForward.
Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
Here's a small preview for the whole season including interviews and many spoilers (not only) for the first episode here:

They really mixed things up and this season seems to become huge
Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
I ❤ Eureka!
Like a junkie without his fix, is my life without Eureka....makes me miss British Columbia a lot though, I have to go camping in B.C. soon! Glad they changed the storyline up with the temporal anomaly, and of course, they really couldn't find a better addition to the cast than Gaius Baltar, a brilliant stroke of casting genius.
(I've been super busy with summer school and work, which is why I haven't been around, but I'm still watching Top Gear, IT Crowd, Entourage, Leverage, Burn Notice, Lie to Me, Hung, Louie, Futurama, and of course, The Boondocks when I have a chance. Let me know if there's anything else on right now that I should be watching.)
Just wait for the Psych episode which is due next week

Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
Great season premiere..
Eureka is such a great feel good summer show - lots of laughs (and sci-fi!!) all throughout. Really glad it's back - I know I'm gonna enjoy Psych even more.
Mr_fuzzer made a good point about bring back some dead people.. I hadn't thought about that. I miss Nathan Stark, and it'd be great to see him return. (although I guess he probably won't)
Looking forward to seeing how Callis' character integrates into the show.

Orlando wrote:Screw imdb, for me he's a season regular so I want to see him in every damn episode
and by that you agree that the entire timeline remains distorted for the whole season - Joe won't get married with Zain (or whatever his name is) and etc...
I'm cool with that.
Speaking as someone who's tired of Reset-button time travel, the ending came out of nowhere, and changed the episode from "pretty damn good" to "Friggin awesome". There's a lot of possibilities to be explored, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this season has in store.
Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
Amg Gaius. Maybe this series ain't totally lost yet. I pretty much gave it up after last season. Gonna stick with it and see where it goes from here.

Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
What is it about Eureka.
Its got such a kooky plot and over the top ideas, combined with complete oversimplification of the occurances.
It should not be a good show, this is not the 70ies.
Its like Warehouse 13, or that crappy show they put Sam from SG1 in.
Shows that are just BAD, bad plot, bad acting bad story, terrible to behold and seems to speak to an audience as if they where morons and halfwits.
Shows like that dont work, u cant put super-pseudo-science whimsically thrown around and make a good show anymore.
And yet Eureka is exellent.
Part of it is the acting, the protagonist is dedicated he actually cares about his part and does his best at creating the best sheriff carter he can, instead of just phoning it in like the lead in Warehouse 13 for example.
The other actors are decent as well, but there is more.
The show just works.
I dunno if its a chemistry thing or the genuine love for science fiction that sometimes bleeds through, or the fact that the writers are just doing a great job, even characters like Fargo, who could be reduced to so much bitcharacter jokebait, is properly fleshed out and u actually feel for him.
I dunno it shouldnt be, specially in the post LOST/BSG era of sci-fi television where dark realism seems to be the new name of the game, but Eureka is despite all that a truly great show.

Re: Eureka Season 4 Premiere
I just don't this entire season revolve around "correcting the time line".
It's Eureka and it should have a main story line guiding the plot but I don't won't it to be the "correcting the time line" story line.
They need to figure how to fix it quickly and keep Callis on board...
I don't think it's about correcting the timeline. That short time travel thingy was just a witty way to change some major storline parts which couldn't be changed in any other way. Take the autistic son for example. He had his part in the first one or two seasons but at his age he wouldn't fit into the storyline that much. Now he has much more potential and I'm sure he will get a small regular part now. Or the corky marriage thingy for Joe. That was just wrong and had to go. Now the chemistry is right again. Tess being a regular now and not leaving for Australia is another good thing. I bet they changed some more things to make it a very good season. And the Gaius Baltar on Eureka is just pure genius. Although there could be many ways to introduce a new character than a time travel, but this way it's also fun to watch how he adepts to the history of the last 63 years

Couldnt agree more. This is exactly what they will do, after all this is what they did last time and it worked out very well.
