Yes, I believe bad writing was the main problem. It was like a filler episode, or I can hope it was a filler epsiode anyway because it really felt like it had no purpose other than to tell us things we already knew. But I'm problably optimistic tbh, what TV show season opener begin with a damn filler ep? We are supposed to be dazzled to stick with it.

Re: Entourage
Entourage is like a sugar cane - empty, but tasty calories. Each episode ends before it gets good, but somehow I never get tired of looking at LA, movie guest stars, and pretty women. And I never get tired of Ari's one-liners. And as such I can't really comment on the quality, since it doesn't really matter. It's not a good show, it's just fun.

Re: Entourage
Watched it(8x7) yesterday. Maybe it's for the best this show ends. Am I sad it will end? Absolutely. However this season doesnt feel very good compared to the others, perhaps it is time to wrap it up.

Re: Entourage
I believe it's all because they need to wrap things up... they want the show to end on a positive note in all the fronts....( E, Vince, Drama, Turtle, Ari and etc...)

I don't buy it. AFAIK there's only one more episode to go and it would be stupid if somehow at the same time Vince would score the reporter, Ari got back with his wife and Erik with Sloane.

Re: Entourage
Wow, what a weak-sauce ending. I am used to everything going in favor of the guys, but the finale was ridiculous. Especially in a show that was built on the idea that hard work can get you fame and money to end the show with "but family is more important than career" feels very disingenuous. ▼Spoiler So basically on-again-off-again E and Sloan will get back together and then probably split again, because they've done it on the show a gajillion times (which is the inherent issue of relationships that have to conform to a weakly-supported narrative), Ari will be supremely unhappy without his company so that'll end badly, and don't get me started on Vince and his girlfriend's 180 degree change of mind in the span of one day. Drama's movie was also greenlit in a very quiet way, but that was last episode's problem. All in all it was all resolved too neatly too quickly. The show has done better in previous seasons But I'll still miss it - just like junk food and candy, the riches, the girls, the sunshine ... it was a ray of sunshine among my shows.

what was that, i think someone called me, got to go, bye ok ok i was wrong but what is left for an upcoming movie now? i will miss the show, coz Entourage was one of the easiest show out there to watch, there are other shows where i have to force myself to get in the mood of watching or i get distracted while watching but not with entourage.

Not much, IMO. I couldn't take another Sloane-E drama. Ari leaving his wife again for work would also be stupid. If I had to decide I would make some kind of a reunion movie for the fans with the action taking place at least a few months after the series (E having a new born baby, Vince being a stable husband, Drama being a respected TV star etc).
