Re: 3x13
pfff don't call that a finale, more like the episode before the finale
Re: 3x13
*damn*
personally i'm very pleased with the ending
Re: 3x13
Okay? Are you guys kidding me? This was pure brilliance. I know what you mean about waiting though.
But as a finale im so satisfied.
Im so invested in this show, i really hope they keep it on the air.
Re: 3x13
Simply brilliant. Breaking Bad is just giving Justified a run for its money when it comes to the best cable show this season ... When Walt ran over the guys in the second-to-last episode and just said "Run!" and then in the finale when he, with a gun to his face, recited the address and just said "Yeah." ... well, it doesn't get more bad-ass than that!
Re: 3x13
but how can they continue now? Is walter going to kill off everyone? If not he will get killed, and his ugly wife raped.
Re: 3x13
Yes, that is the question. While the ending - assuming Jesse actually killed the man - looks like a ray of hope, it really isn't. Walt really just bought himself time. Jesse, since he isn't necessary for the cook, is just as expendable as always and I expect that the henchman that ran off at the end of the episode is going to kill or at least wound Jesse. And even if Jesse makes it out, he will be on the run and it's going to be hard to make him part of Walt's story. As for Walt, well, he won't be "grooming" any of his own replacements so who knows what the boss will do ... I can't wait for the next season!

Re: 3x13
jessie DID indeed kill Gale [Vince Gilligan made it clear in interviews that any doubt was poor directing on his part. his sweeping shot made it look like Jessie moved the gun. he didn't]... but y'r upset here is just the point they were trying to make in my eyes. they've [W&J] been teetering on that morally ambiguous line for some time, and now they have well and truly crossed it... what i'm looking forward to is how that 'the gloves are totally off now' mentality is going to play into the next two seasons... are W&J really up to wielding that sort of 'power'... i'm going to assume that taking out Gus is going to play a big part next season... and yes it was sad that Gale was sacrificed the way he was, but at the same time, he must of kinda known what kind of sandbox he was playing in...
pfff don't call that a finale, more like the episode before the finale
what defines which is which..? the thing i really like about the current crop of highbrow cable shows is that the 'seasons' are more akin to chapters in a book... n yeah, i understand the commercial, suck em in in, keep em hanging for more mentality of the big season finale, doesn't make it's often cheap, out of character gimmick endings that some shows trot out any more palatable. give me a quiet ending befitting the story any-day. which is what we got here, methinks...

Re: 3x13
What surprised me about the - totally bad-ass, btw. - last few minutes (Walter's "Yeah" was just so pitch perfect, Bryan Cranston deserved each and every acting award right then and there) was that very much in line with Walter's actions this season what they did left Jesse exposed and Walter protected. As much as I hated the idea of Jesse moving on, he was completely right - all Walter does hurts Jesse. Yes, now without Gale Gus needs Walter. And yes, Walter made it clear he needs an assistant and that he works with Jesse. But Jesse isn't as necessary as Walter and I can totally see that Gus - angered about this insolence - would send a message and kill Jesse.
While I hope this doesn't happen - the show lives because of Walter and Jesse - the fact remains that Jesse is very vulnerable, even though he made the biggest sacrifice. That's why the show is so awesome!
