Of course , why else would I watch a show about a nerd getting a super spy computer in his head?? just kidding , it's a good show... but having a total hottie in the show improves the odds of me watching it (perhaps even regularly )

Re: Rubicon
Rubicon is pure genius. Of course you don't like it because of your short attention span. The whole show was a cat a mouse play where normally you see everything from a big perspective with flashbacks, flashforwards and flashsideways. Here you just have a small glimpse for each scene once from the mouse hole. The big picture was revealed just with the very end at the last episode. Too bad the show couldn't pick up a big audience but it's nice to see that the small audience it has is steady and not shrinking at all. Rubicon is by far the best conspiracy show out there - it feels almost to realistic - like BSG did for the scifi genre. I can't wait how the wrap it up with the next and last episode for season one. I dunno if there was a season two planned, but if they did that could get very interesting - for all of you this time

not necessarily, u need an attention span of a young greek god, otherwise u will run in circles screaming and pull ur hair out. I tried the first 2 episodes and the speed with which the story/plot evolves is -1. So while trying to watch an episode of Rubicon, i blindfolded and gagged myself, went upside down, submerged in a tank of burning oil filled with live shark, let the LOTR books read out to me by a Nepalese buddhist monk in reversed Swahili (which was lengthy and difficult to translate) and had time to go out and order a bagel. And after checking the time nearly 15 minutes of the story had evolved. So maybe u like it or maybe not

Didn't you said that AMC usually order more seasons right at the beginning or was it on a different show?? For some reason I thought you wrote somewhere it got renewed really fast...

Re: Rubicon
Agreed, the finale was very much in the spirit of the whole show. Slow, deliberate, and absolutely open-ended. I love the finale if the show gets picked up. If not (which is unfortunately likely) then I'd wished for a bit more closure and it was only good. ▼Spoiler My biggest problem isn't the unanswered questions posted in the last five minutes between Will and Spangler - I actually like not knowing what will Spangler do (will he kill himself?) and what will Will do (will he go to the authorities, in which case they probably won't give shit, just like Spangler predicted, or will he go to the New York Times, which would definitely make for a better story?). I am much more bothered by the twist in Andy's story (Will's neighbor / fuck buddy). Based on her behavior she is working with Senator Clay Davies ... sorry, Ed Royce, and Katherine's insistence to go meet Will in the park provided the opportunity for Katherine's murder. It seems logical that Andy provided that information to Royce - hence her backing away and trying desperately not to be spotted by Will. However, this assumption implies that she has been working for Atlas MacDowell for a long time and not only did poor Tom Rhumor completely misplace his allegiances when he trusted Andy enough to send his wife to her in case of danger, but Andy was also watching Will when they were having the affair. At that point you have wonder how stupid Andy is for not noticing that Will hid his stack of documents in her bathroom? I can accept Andy not catching on if she were an innocent bystander - at that point is the sexy neighbor disappearing in my bathroom with his knapsack weird, but not something to get alarmed about. If I am a trained operative assigned to watch a mark and said mark disappears in my bathroom with his Jack-sack, I know he could be hiding something and I need to get my hands on it. That just doesn't add up. Having said that, I love the fact that they didn't prevent the attack and nobody saved the world in the last minute. All they could do was find the truth ... way too late. Hopefully we get a second season. I really enjoyed the format, the story, and especially the music here. Simply a great show!

Re: Rubicon
So I get why many people tried this show and gave up after 1-3 eps - these people can stop posting now, because you missed the good parts We also don't want to know when you quit this this show. But if you watched the finale it would be interesting to know what you think about this (kind of) show. I'm with marco completely - I like the way Rubicon ended. Although I almost had a feeling that they won't find out how to connect all the dots. Now it would be interesting to know, what the result is. Will - now knowing the truth - hit indeed a wall by not knowing what to do with it. His life is already in danger and he knows Spangler is also on the edge. So where to go? A newspaper article of this kind is like to say that 911 was an inside job - nobody would believe it. I so hope we get a second season. This show was really a nice try to bring a visual complex intelligent narrative to the small screen. It should've been clear from the beginning of planning this show that not a huge audience would be attracted. But since it had a steady viewership throughout the season it might get picked up again. Although because the big incident occured in the previous episode the viewership decreased for the finale, since the penultimate ep already felt like a finale. I updated the viewer numbers in my previous post here.
