Topic: Discussion before the premiere (including trailers, posters, etc.)
Pat Miletich wrote:Production begins today in Atlanta for AMC's adaptation of the Robert Kirkman comic "The Walking Dead." The six-episode first season--written, produced and directed by three-time Academy Award-nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) and executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens, Armageddon, The Incredible Hulk)--follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home after a zombie apocalypse.

Re: Discussion before the premiere (including trailers, posters, etc.)
I've started reading Walking Dead comics recently and I'm about half way through the series. Show should be great as long as they don't mess it up too much.

Re: Discussion before the premiere (including trailers, posters, etc.)
Well, I prefer to be cautious since only Dead Set was a good zombie show so far.

Dunno, so many crappy shows were made in the 70s and in the 80s that it's possible.

Re: Discussion before the premiere (including trailers, posters, etc.)
Just finished reading issue #42 of the comic and it KICKS ASS. Intelligent writing, cast of great characters, awesome cliffhangers... if the show will be any good as this and if captures the feeling of the comic book somehow then we have a winner in the 'best fall show' category.

Looks like the first real promo pic of the series
Just finished reading Walking Dead btw and it was awesome. Maybe 3-4 weaker issues but the rest was top notch.

Yeah, Dead Set wasn't long but it kicked ass and it would also make a very good movie. In fact I'm surprised that Americans haven't picked it up yet to make a remake.
