Topic: Season finale *spoilers*
Damn.. in the middle of this episode, somewhere around the barn scene between Clark and Lois (when Clark should have told her everything) I was so fucking pissed of! I honestly had half a mind to stop watching and delete every episode of Smallville from both my drives and my mind. However, after the kiss when Lois figured it out and then the fight with Zod all was forgiven It was a good ending to the season! Nice to get rid of the frakking kendorians... I guess that Lex will come back next season... at least it seams that way.

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
It was pretty clever how he won. And it was pretty smart to use Blue kryptonite to avoid being banished. It was good for a smallville ending which isnt famous for having good season finales lol.

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
This is the first Smallville season finale that I actually loved! Very happy with it... cant wait for next season! They did a great job! Not sure who was attacking the Green Arrow though. And I like how they referenced "War of the Worlds" (for the superman comic fans out there). Also, nice how they returned to the origins of the suit, with Martha making it for/giving it to him. Great ep, would have liked to have seen a double episode though. Btw, hi guys, its been a while!

well, I got engaged and getting married in a couple of months, so been crazy busy with all that stuff... Also, the iPhone app has massively reduced my need of coming to the site, which in turn reduces my forum activity. :-(

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
yep, that was a decent finale...set the stage for season 10 quite nicely...apart from some lame way to resurrect/save Clark, there's a lot of potential for really good dynamic story...especially if Lex returns. I especially liked the mention of Jonathan in the ep too...signs of the important factors being recognized again. -Rob

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
I stopped watching this drivel in season 4. I can't believe it's still going. Going to download this one, just to watch Lois finally get it (going on all the comments above). I still prefer Chloe tho.

paisley1 wrote:Just watched the season finale....GAWWW! I think you're all in LALAland, because that was far from an awesome Smallville season finale. There's still no chemistry between Clark and Lois and their lines are so terrible I cringe every time, and I've never cared about the Candorians because they're boring poorly written characters who'll be gone somehow by the end of the season. Everyone thinks that this finale was good because you've lowered your expectations over the years whilst putting up with garbage writing to the point where you've all forgotten how epic those finales and premieres used to be! So what that Clark had a fight scene with Zod and sent him to a new home somewhere in the universe by his "Herculean act" of taking the blue kryptonite to the chest....(to which I'm assuming Jor-el will reward Clark with the ability to fly)....and so what that Lois has finally connected the dots, that's 5 seasons too late.....this season was just too painful to take, for any of that to even matter to me at all. If I were the writers, I'd say "Fuck it, lets have Clark wake up in Smallville, completely fine, with the ability to fly, with Martha, Jonathon, Lex, Lionel and Lana, all back in the show as though they never left, with a forumla for episodes that worked to continue a re-invented storyline our viewers actually care about." With the amount of blanket statements Chloe's used in this season it's a completely reasonable proposition. Who knows, they might pay homage to the formula of the earlier seasons with this final season coming up, but I doubt it, the ratings are just too terrible (from 6.3million in S2 to 2.35million here in S9).
I didn't exactly say that I loved this episode... I mostly said that the second half was very much better than the first...

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
Are the premieres good? I don't recall ever thinking a Smallville premier was any better than an average mid-season episode...but then, most Smallville episodes fade from my memory pretty fast... -Rob

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
In my opinion the season finale was ok,Zod and the Candorians went down easily though and i realy didn't liked that lois has found out now i mean the whole idea of superman is the seperation between ck and Kal El,isn't?now she knows the fun of lois making fun of 'smallville' is gone, the writers had to come up with more dramatic way of her finding it out,do you guys remember all the strugle Lana had to go through because of this secret?i hope they come up with an idea that makes lois forget about it,get Lana,Lea and Pete back.

Re: Season finale *spoilers*
I hate when writers make people forget things...it's the stupidest way to avoid the more real drama that's involved in actually knowing things. It makes for easy and meaningless writing when every character is ignorant(unless you're writing comedy). -Rob
