Re: Which design do you prefer?

imo, you should keep the main background blue 'cause making the top blue bar extend to the edges doesn't look too good on wide screens and it's nice to have some conttrast. the thumbnails are nice but it's good to have that option to turn them off if you want to

Re: Which design do you prefer?

The new layout is great, but there's one thing that would GREATLY improve it.  Currently the middle section bolds shows that are on your watchlist, and brings them to the top.  In my eyes this isn't nearly enough, as they still don't stand out enough.  What if you were to add some sort of background color (a nice light blue box?) to those shows, or something similar, to make them stand out more.

Either way I vote for the new one, but I would really like to see a few changes.

Re: Which design do you prefer?

New one as long as I can turn off the thumbnails, if not then the old one please.

Re: Which design do you prefer?

New one looks good, especially the new fonts, but it needs less white imo. Also it's missing 1 or 2 breaks below the "No episodes from your watchlist!" error.

Re: Which design do you prefer?

The new one is nicer on the eyes, but it takes up too much space imo.  I think it would be better with less spaces between the listings, or to put the two columns a bit closer together, but maybe it's just because I'm used to the old scheme of the tightly compact lists..

EDIT: "I want to remind everyone, that you can hide the shows you ain't watching from the today's/tomorrow's by going to settings/other settings/Only shows from watchlist." kind of nulls out my comment about too much space now that I know I can remove certain shows I don't care to see...

Re: Which design do you prefer?

The thumbnails are nice but if the information could go under the image then you could fit more in a row and thus more on the screen.
I like to see as much as possible without scrolling.

Re: Which design do you prefer?

Deffo current one. The thumbnails thing is really annoying if you have a lot of shows. And frankly I dont care what show grafphics is available. I just want the info.
If you want a new design, Please keep an option for "text only". I'd hate to have to block the graphics from this site entirely.

When does the new design go live anyway?

Not sure, moved the development for it to beta.next-episode.net (where the calendar is a bit different too), but halted further improvements due to the lack of time these days sad

Comments on the calendar are welcome smile

Re: Which design do you prefer?

I like the calendar design, though it's not something that I currently use....and though it looks really nice in the redesign, I probably still won't use it unless I'm inclined at some point to print it off...though that's unlikely.

Re: Which design do you prefer?

The calendar looks great - maybe it should scroll instantly to today on first opening. And there's still the deactivated year selection thingy and the 2000-2011 limitation in the selection.
