i voted that new doctor is better. more doctor who is always better, and i think i will love the new doctor, he's awesome and even if Tennant was full of awesomeness also i have seen him as a Doctor so little in last year, so maybe i don't remember how awesome he really was.
oh and i really love the new sonic screwdriver. it's green! yay

The episode was awesome, but I can not tell who is better... it's way too soon. I guess this will be the first time I don't vote in a poll. Unless something happens on saturday, that will make up my mind

I voted the same for just now, but I'm with Mxy, it's really too soon to tell. There should be another option in the poll: "just different".
And everyone voting "Doctor Who?" should have their eyes forced open Clockwork Orange style and made to watch until they love it!

yeah, it was a hard choice to make for me also, because it was good, but it wasn't worse than last seasons, but then again it wasn't same, it didn't feel like same. then i thought, so it must be better. new Doctor Who episode every week can't be bad!
so what else..
KB, maybe you should do a news post about Doctor Who after end of this poll to guide n-e users to the right path. let's try that before using Clockwork Orange style, maybe they just need guidance. except godzi, he needs to learn it hard way if he don't agree to do it like everyone else.

I personally dont like the style of the new doctor, but then again I didnt like Tennants style when he first took on the role...
However what REALLY annoys me is the non-organic look of the tardis, its been stated by Ecclesson (boom town I believe) and Tennant (the one where they first fall into the other universe) that the tardis' arent built, they are grown, so they are organic (in part) and the previous look was very organic looking... this new tardis is tecnologically circa 1950 - 1960 looking... which makes me think the writers are trying to draw in the older fanbase once more...
The companion is the main reason I will watch this season anyway... I really dig redheads

Its too early to tell if hes good or not. I did like the old one a lot. Even if the show is silly. BTW the office is British and so is Extras and if you dont watch that you really should i take it you like the American remake of the Office since your avatar is from there. Well the best jokes in the us office is taken straight from Gervais and Merchaints The office. The things i dont like in the us ver is specially American like the whole love story that only slow things down. Not that they are in love but its fine but it dosent have to bee that centered around it and the wedding episode was so boring.

I like the new doctor, though at the moment I still favor Tennant as my number one with Tom Baker right behind him.
Most of the critics seem to be pretty hateful towards the new doctor, I don't understand why...
and whoever it was that doesn't watch British shows...really? Most of the American remakes suck complete ass as compared to the British ORIGINAL versions...and look at all the shows here that are basically stolen from the UK..to name just a few:
American Idol
Mythbusters
Life on Mars
....ok so there are a lot more and I am soo tired right now..but there are probably hundreds of other shows to add to the above list....
pfffft....like who?
As far as the organic look of the tardis I kinda always figured it was a hand in hand regeneration process with the doctor thereby being an direct reflection of maybe the doctors persona?

I agree that there should have been a "Just Different" option. I liked Doctor Who preDavidson best. Yes the aliens, spaceships, etc were not all slick CGI. The ships looked like models on a blue screen. The aliens looked like guys in rubber suits but the soul of the show was better. They were willing to be more edgy. They showed people being killed by the villain on the screen to show the horror that the villains were capable of. They didn't go all pussy and cut to someone screaming off screen. Also the Doctor(s?) would actually take out the villain to save the innocents/planet/galaxy/universe, not cradle them in his arms as they were dying and cry. The Doctor wouldn't fall in love. He was an alien with a deeply felt duty to save sentient life forms. Personally I liked William Hartnel when he first started the character. He was arrogant, condescending and aloof. Ah for the good old days when the Doctor couldn't control where the TARDIS went and all the companions did was get in the way.
