Hey !
So what are your theories about the nature of the "flashforwards"??
I just saw episode 13 and noticed that Dyson Frost aka D Gibbons said that the people in the somalian village experienced a "conciousness shift". Can the flashforwards be flashes into not your own future but someone elses? It sorta makes sense in some cases where the person who was supposed to have a future died or where the flashforward was really unbelievable. So it couldn't have been their future but someone elses. For example the somalian dude who saw himself as a uniter of the people. And is makes sense for Mikes wifes vision if it was not she but some other woman in the bedroom with Dylans father.
However it does not make much sense when it comes to people sharing a vision and where it is comfirmed by both parts that it was the other person in the vision. Ex. Keiko and Bryce (we know they saw eachother so it must have been them). Also it does not make sense for the guy who jumped to his death and that english agent who were researching the rutherford (?) case together. We know they saw eachother and no one else right!?
So anyone has a different theory to share?

Hmm...well, D Gibbons has obviously altered things in a few ways...potentially in 1991 he flashed himself forward far enough to get to know who Demitri was so that he could make the special recording for him later on the tape.
Being a chess grand master, we can assume that he's many steps ahead...

...I think it's important to note that it's a shift in consciousness though...not a shift in reality. The FFs aren't set in stone...they're like various forms of Schroedinger's cat...potential outcomes that are collapsed by consciousness at critical points of observation. So the possibilities can be considered equally true and untrue up until the point where the critical observation occurs.

Also, if D Gibbons stole those towers via flash forwarding, then the towers themselves probably aren't the thing that makes the FFs happen...they probably just help induce them on a larger scale or something...but for D Gib to steal the design, he'd have had to flash without the aid of the towers.
Chess Grand Masters are known for their ability to see so far ahead...

Either Dyson flashed forward somehow to both steal the designs and know where demitri would be at that time to make the recording, or Simon is somehow Dyson and has travelled back to the past sometime in the future. This would explain Dyson knowing how to build the towers for one. Also would explain him knowing Demitri would be there at that time since Simon was the only other person in the room with Demitri when playing the tape. Also Simon mentions that being able to make the towers practical, it could only be done in the future.

This show has finally gotten interesting. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I suspected a long time ago that the Flash Forwards were visions into another dimension, like Fringe. This has yet to be debunked.

I don't really think this is a rip-off of fringe's ideas... I mean this seems to play more on the idea of actual time travel rather then alternate realities... I think the whole alternate reality thing kinda just stems from all these people trying to alter their futures that are seen in the flashforwards...

Anyways, as much as I enjoy the show, I'm afraid it'll end up being canceled... so all this speculation might just go to waste..
