Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

I came to request that a synopsis be added for episodes so that it was more obvious whether I'd seen a recent episode or not, but as I looked at the app to suggest where it might go, I clicked on an episode and found a synopsis! Is this a new feature, or have I simply never managed to stumble on it? Either way, thanks.

I do think that the synopsis (or the first line of it [...]) could be included right on the 'show details' screen with the season/episode number  - (season and episode number could probably be on one line to save space, as they are numbers and the values are always going to be pretty fixed length.

I often use the calendar view to go back a week or two and see if there's any shows I've missed. Title and episode# shown on the calendar itself don't always tweak my memory as to whether I've seen it. It would be convenient to have synopsis one click/tap away on the 'show details' page rather than two pages deep; especially when I'm checking multiple shows.

Thanks!

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

The synopsis for the next and previous episode are available within 1 tap on the show details page (just tap on the next episode info or the previous episode info, they're clickable).

For other than the Previous/Next episode, you can always tap on an episode in the Episodes tab (which collects all aired and unwatched episodes) and get the episode summary or through the Episodes button in the show details tab.

And yea, summaries have always been there, it's not a new feature ...

Cheers!

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Sorry if this has been asked previously but a way of syncing with Trak.tv would be great, specifically I used the Trak.tv support in some of the plugin's in Kodi and to have that automatically sync with Next Episode would be a great feature.

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Next Episode has its own Kodi add-on that you can use.

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Is there any chance of getting trailers for individual episodes so you can see what is coming up next week. Also would be good to be able to look up an episode and see what it is about before going back and watching it

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Personally I feel that the summaries for each episode should be suffice enough to cover both points you've expressed. Trailers usually get updated with each coming season, individual episode trailers is a rarity across most major websites, and IMO would be overkill.

Yea, not feasible unfortunately.

Interesting. It's the opposite of what I am looking for. Whenever I watch a show and the end contains NEXT WEEK ON ... I scramble to get to the remote or mouse to stop the stream because I don't want to be spoiled in the slightest.

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

I love the custom search engine feature on the website and was wondering if you could implement something similar in the android app

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

I'm not sure enough people search for their shows from their mobile devices for such feature to be worth developing for Android/iOS ...

Cheers!

I think a lot of people watch their series on their phone and the custom search engine feature is a great way to jump to a streaming platform from the website/app (In some countries including mine it is legal to stream series) so I would really appreciate it if you gave it a second thought.

PS.: The custom search doesn't work on websites that use something like "www.website.com/search/the+flash/" because they use "+" instead of " "

Thanks

There is now an option to set either " " or "+", per search engine. Check it out!

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Did you remove the search engines from the main page? That is the main thing I use in here.

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Search engines always showing on the homepage, when in simplified view (with no thumbnails) was a bug that was reported here:

https://next-episode.net/news-permalink-818.html (18th comment)

I fixed it and now search engines on the homepage, when simplified, obey the setting here (as they always should have):

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

So I have to pay today for an easy feature that was available yesterday because of one request? I have to get used to go into each episode, then sad (Couldn't see a place to toggle this either for free or premium)

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Yes the feature is available to Premium members and yea, it was on by mistake up until yesterday.

It can be turned on on the link I provided above, by checking off this: "Enable search engines on homepage. "

Great feature tweak. This makes the super-useful search even more convenient.
THANKS!

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Hi, nice to hear about the movie tab. Is it possible to get search engines support on iOS?

171

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Possible, but not gonna happen soon (in the next 1-2 updates).

172

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Would it be possible to add a ratings system for Movies so we can rate them ourself in the future.

173

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Yes, rating will soon come to the Movies section as well!

174

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

Wonderful. If it ends being a five star rating system, can I suggest you allow 1/2 stars.

175

Re: Criticism, comments, suggestions, requests?

2 suggestions:

1-i noticed people mentioned 'swipe to mark as played' for the iphone app. can we get that feature on the android app?
2-can we group new episodes (like netflix shows) in the "weekly schedule" part of the "Next" tab like you recently did for the calendar on the website?
