It's interesting, how if you don't use Firefly as an option in a poll, the "Other" option will rise... Just look at the history of polls wink

Re: What TV-show, that was canceled but never actually ended, would....

Though call. Terminator was my first choice (but also first in the list. That was kind of a psychological setup)  In the end I chose Kings.

If I could choose more than one I would do it in this order:

Kings
Terminator
Life
Journeyman
Jericho
Traveler
New Amsterdam
Reaper
Kyle XY

Some places are interchangeable. I put Kyle at the end just because it was getting very dull (more family stuff than sci-fi) but I still wanted a real ending.

But the biggest cliffhangers where on Terminator, Kings, Journeyman, Jericho and Reaper (is Reaper officially cancelled?)

That's my 2 cents. There are some older series that I can't remember, but that's enough for now.

Before Peacekepper Wars was tacked on the end there are similar arguments for Farscape as to those proffered for Dollhouse, Enterprise etc

In the cases of Dollhouse and Enterprise (plus Jeremiah which nobody's mentioned) the writers at least knew in advance and so could give us some attempt at a premeture closure

Nobody said Angel either (which lives on in comics of course)

Re: What TV-show, that was canceled but never actually ended, would....

Just thought of another that sorta qualifies

Dune (SyFy mini-series) was followed by Children of Dune but they never bothered going on to do God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune etc even though the Dune minis were SyFy's best ratings winners other than Taken

Firefly, no doubt about it.

Angel had one of my favorite endings, of all the shows I've seen...

That's actually not true. Daniel Knauf (the creator) wanted to do more.

"I've got four seasons of material in excess of what I did." Daniel Knauf

The show simply got too expensive for HBO, so they cancelled it.

Firefly is too obvious but yes I would like more another series or more films.

Voted for Terminator but came so close to voting for Kings both could have easily gone on much longer.

Got a full season but wasn't wrapped up so would love more Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

Would also like to see an ending for Arrested Development, Reaper & Las Vegas even if it was just a one or two episode special.

I agree, probably with a lot of other people. Firefly. But Joss Whedon made an other show wich could continue as well. I think people would agree with me if I said Dollhouse. True, Dollhouse had a rough start, but in the end it was fantastic

My problem with Dollhouse is that it took too long to get interesting, and by then it was already cancelled.

P.S.
Has anyone else noticed that Joss Whedon likes to end his shows with "one big bang that saves the world". For example Buffy ended with the big bang that released all the Slayers powers at the same time. Angel kinda finished with the Big bang that released everyone from slavery. Dollhouse finished with the big bang that also released everyone IN THE WORLD from slavery. Correct my if I'm wrong or confirm my suspicion.

Threshold and Journeyman... and now I'll go watch Firefly so I'll have something else to complain about...

Re: What TV-show, that was canceled but never actually ended, would....

Terminator, hands down. The first season was maybe plagued by some mediocre writing and not very good acting, in season two and three, very interesting stories developed, along with good roles. You could feel the characters problems and relate, even Summer Glau was convincing as a robot in a series that still lasted 2,5 seasons. I didn't suspect a series would survive a few episodes but they didn't go "Knight Rider". I really miss this series as it is one of the best suprises I had as I didn't think it would succeed but wanted to, badly. Not many people see it like I do apparently, but I saw good emotion from the actors and good writing from the staff.
