Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
Original Trilogy -> New Trilogy ...it's the only way
or if you ask a true Fanboy... Original Trilogy (laserdisc rips from teh internets)
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
Since the storyline in Episode One is kinda stupid I suggest to start with the originals.
Have you seen any?
So the old three ones are the best. The enhanced ones are kind of stupid but watchable since some special effects are of course much better, but the extra scenes don't fit at all IMHO.
After you got the Star Wars feeling you can watch Episode I, II and III and even the Clone Wars. But watching the first three eps first is not a good idea, because you feel the 20 year gap of movie making.
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
I prefer to let George Lucas disappoint me in the order he intended.
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
and watch also close wars cartoons. first the old ones and then the one currently running.
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
Star with 5 than 3 than 6 than 1 than 4 and finish up with episode 2... obviously!

Well said my dear
I'd love to claim credit, but it's a quote from TBBT.
I have to say I'm rather partial to Mxy's idea myself.

I know - Sheldon was at his best - as always
And I don't get the Mxy order - could you elaborate?

i think what mixxy is getting at here, is that he can, but won't.
what i think he meant was that,
if we take his order and look at it, we can see this pattern:http://bayimg.com/image/aajkdaacm.jpg
which at first look random, but wait a minute! if we (disregard my bad drawing and) look at three movies at a time, they form triangles, and, the first triangle is identical to the second, only rotated! the lengths and angles are exactly the same!
http://bayimg.com/image/aajkeaacm.jpg
which is a mystery (???) at first. but... if we consider what we do know, and what we don't know, we end up with this list:
1. george lucas
2. movies
3. ???
4. profit!!!yes, makes sense now!
(i would like to thank dan brown for showing me this kind of logic..)
niv you are too good to be true
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
I read on forums that people who have never watched star wars before, watched in the order from episode I-VI and thought it was fantastic, coz u grow and feel with darth vader from the start, big emotional impact aswell.
So i dont think that there is a wrong order to watch the old or new trilogy first.

Let me say it more clearly:
There is a baaaad trilogy and a good trilogy. Why to watch the bad one before the good one?

then u can appreciate the good trilogy more? i dont know
Since i grew up with the old trilogy and coz of nostalgic feelings, i cant say in a neutral way which watching order is the better one.
Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
You just wait, George is so hyped of avatar that he'll make the all 3D !!

Re: Star Wars Viewing Order
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- George Lucas has yet to work in the new 3-D technology that is sweeping Hollywood, but the director told Access Hollywood that the success and achievements of "Avatar" could help bring "Star Wars" into the third dimension.
"I liked it. I make movies like that, [so], I can appreciate what [James Cameron] went through to do it," George Lucas told Access Hollywood at the HBO Golden Globes party on Sunday.
"[I'm] happy it's so successful, and worked very well in 3-D," he continued. "Haven't been a big fan of 3-D, but that movie definitely improves in (the field of) 3-D."
George was so impressed with the movie's technology - which took home the trophy for Best Motion Picture - Drama at the 2010 Globes - that he thinks it could help pave the way for creating 3-D versions of his "Star Wars" movies.
"We've been looking for years and years and years of trying to take 'Star Wars' and put it in 3-D," George explained to Access. "But, [the] technology hasn't been there. We've been struggling with it, but I think this will be a new impetus to make that happen."
First up, George is writing and producing "Red Tails," about the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during World War II.
