that sucks, just like:
twilight = bite at dawn
new moon = bite at noon
eclipse = bite at sunset glow
breaking dawn = bite through the end of the night

Yes it started like Twilight but it changed - and that's a good thing. The Vampire Diaries is much better than Twilight

i think that i haven't seen the first two episodes or at least i don't remember those.
that's because i have watched that when my girlfriend is watching, so have missed couple of episodes.

Starting to like this series! Like the show writer said, it begins soft, but i promise you, it will quickly get interesting.

I really like this show as well but the whole Katharine obsession is a little annoying. It seems like every vampire that comes into the show is there for her. Why is she so special?
But totally worth watching for Ian Somerhalder...

yeah i agree about the Katharine obsession is getting a bit to much!!
Also i do think that Tv and movie ppl always try and cash in on the next best thing grrr first it was the hero theme now its Twilight (i am a twilight fun so put a shock in it lol) then you get True Blood - really stupid show sorry no offence intended - i just don't like it bottom line.
Now its V Diaries they need to come up with something diff in life come on!!!
I do watch V Diaries but i am getting bored!

I don't understand what you mean about the Katharine obsession getting to much.

Have a look at the release dates of the original books and decide who copied who
Vampire Diaries Books 1991
True Blood books 2001
Twilight books 2005
So Vampire Diaries needs to come up with something original?? lol it was written 14 years BEFORE the twilight and true blood was 4 years before twilight.
You might want to do some research before accusing people of copying ideas.
If you want to argue about which was first to the screen.
True Blood premiered on Sept 2008
Twilight November 2008
Vampire Diaries Sept 2009
Again twilight wasn't first.

And to add to the above... put the Nightworld series by same author as Vampire Diaries and Twilight up against a mirror and you'll see an identical reflection! Nightworld came over 10 years before Twilight too.
ANYWAY, enough detracting from the topic. What I mean about the Katharine obsession is I know Damen and Stefan have their thing because of their history but like that other vampire that came in recently who started stalking Elena was because she looked so much like Katharine so he wanted to play with her.
It just seems like everything is centred around this one character, which is fine but they don't really explain what was so great about her to cause everyone to be obsessed with her! Right now, she's just another vampire.
Hope that makes some sense!

Really? Don't you find her a little mousy and whiny? I find her voice really irritating. I like the show but if I had to replace any character it would be her!
