It's capped at 3 exactly because 3 episodes are very rare (but it happens), while 4 is super extremely rare and most likely it's a whole season at once.

As to displaying the season number - it's there, but on mouse over (as not to clutter the page too much).

Let me know what you think.

I don't see how adding one word and a number would clutter the list. Right now it looks out of place alongside other shows with season, episode and description shown

So instead of
Grace and Frankie - 13 episodes
it would be
Grace and Frankie - 13 episodes Season 6

So instead of

Show Name
8 episodes

you want something like

Show Name
1x (8 eps.)

?

"Grace and Frankie - 13 episodes Season 6" would probably be too long.

Yes, something like
Grace and Frankie - s06 episodes 1-13
It will also allow grouping to start with 3 episodes

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

Ok.

When it comes to the grouping I trust santah's infinite wisdom, that never was an issue for me.

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

I love the show In the Dark that now has a season two. But I see that it is another show with the same name that was on BBC for one season. Is it possible to mark the BBC one with "BBC" and remove the CW from the show that is on?

Renamed it to In the Dark (2019). It's better anyway and hopefully that takes care of your issue.

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

Hey Santah, mentioned this a while ago but thought I'd bring it up again. I think it'd be good to have a "Mark as watched" button on the Episode Page on the Android app right next to where the header "Episode Summary" is. Not sure if anyone else thinks this would be useful.

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

When I go to the Upcoming list on an Android tablet (both with the page for computers on and off (don't know the name in English)) and I want the list to be shown chronologically, the button for adding it to the Watchlist dissappears. It only shows when I see the list "by anticipation". Also, when I refresh the page using the drag the finger down method, it reverts to Anticipation. The second page of the list also behaves strangely sometimes on the pc, the "Add to Watchlist" may have been on the first page, but not the second.

Lot of related problems here...

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

Thanks Sofie, I'm adding this to my TODO and will get to it, hopefully soon.

I'm currently in the process of moving Next Episode to a new hosting server and once I'm done with that - I'll take a look at those issues.

This is now fixed and should work fine across all top charts (and their respective pages).

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

I wanna nag a bit too. big_smile We've discussed grouping of shows on the left side of the site's pages before. For everyone with a bulging watchlist, there are a looot of shows below the active shows and on top of the

More (not tracked)
More (inactive shows)

shows. I can't find the previous discussion, but how about shrinking (and changing) that list to

(ACTIVE SHOWS)
More (Returning)
More (In Hiatus)
More (In Development)
More (not tracked)
More (inactive shows)
(Expand/ collapse all)

? It's currently a bit of a mess and doesn't look good.

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

Hi,

Is there a way to not display ended/canceled shows in "Shows you're not tracking" in the Episodes tab? Without having to remove them.

I use the "not tracking" option to have a list of shows I would like to see someday, but not let it clutter my regular Episodes list. Using tags still keep them there.
Shows I stopped watching and have ended/been canceled are also displayed there tho. I don't want to just remove the Show, because then I lose all the watched episodes info.

Or could that be made possible for Premium users? :-D

Thanks in advance!

Your system isn't precisely like mine, but I have a special tag for Dropped shows, and any show on that list has no other tag. Likewise, I have a ToWatch tag, and a Watching tag, and the Watching tag is my default view. So the shows I've dropped are never shown, and I'm always only looking at the shows that I'm actively watching at this current time.

The only reason I use the "Stop Tracking" option, is when I don't want the shows showing up on the frontpage. (IOW shows that are being aired but I'm not watching) Then a couple times a year I go through the Not Tracking list, and removed Ended/Cancelled shows from that list. That only takes me 10-15 minutes.
That means I keep all my information. smile

My system isn't perfect, but maybe it's an idea of methodology that you could utilize?

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

I guess getting creative with the tags is what they're for, so that' s a good solution for now, thanks! *

Everybody has their own system ofcourse, so I can imagine not displaying ended/canceled shows in the "Shows you're not tracking" list is not the same logic for everybody.

Re: Nag-A-Santah Official thread

For me, "Shows you're not tracking" is just a list of shows I might want to watch in the future, a list that I take a look at every x months. Yes, it can probably be improved, but other stuff is more urgent/important IMHO. smile

Yeah, it's really sad that the tags aren't working in the apps. Hopefully that will be fixed sooner than later smile

Yes, this exactly how I use the not tracking function. I also use tags similar to how others mentioned...

Watchlist Priority: TV shows that haven't been subtagged yet, and are a priority. Once these shows have been properly subtagged and watched, I'll eventually remove them from here. We all know there are no official subtags; it's basically the umbrella tag that engulfs my priority shows of interest with the exception of the You Have My Attention tag. More on this later...

Show/Season Premieres: All shows in my watchlist that I haven't seen yet get this tag. I don't care if it's a show that aired over 30 years ago, it still gets this tag if I haven't seen it yet. And existing shows with a season premiere coming soon gets this tag also. For example, The Boys recently got tagged with this. It's also a companion tag for Watchlist Priority because not everything is a priority and those that fall a bit short are tagged here only.

Batters Box: This is the queue for shows I'm ready to binge either right now or real soon. The number of shows with this tag is limited to 3-5 shows. More on this later...

Staging Area: This is basically the queue for the Batters Box. I don't want to flood the BB list or show too many shows under the "All" Episodes category. These are shows I will determine to binge next after I watch and clear all shows from the Batters Box. Only then will I decide which shows to binge next and BB tag them. I may even decide to remove shows from here and swap them with something else.

The Weekly Report: These are shows that I continually watch every week as they air on television. For example, I may decide to binge a show from my BB list that I haven't seen yet, but I will still pause and make time to watch the shows under this tag as they air every week.

Saved for Later: This is basically a queue for The Weekly Report. Remember when I said I may binge a show in-between? Well, if that show has every fiber of my being held hostage then my weekly regular shows get tagged here for later consumption once I finish binging what's on my plate. This tag also works well with the "Shows you're not tracking" function.

You Have My Attention: These are shows of interest that I added to my watchlist but are still under investigation. I like what I saw from the trailer, I like what I read from the synopsis, and the reviews are good. I just need to make a final decision whether or not to permanently keep them, and find time to watch. This tag also includes shows that are in development.

On the Bubble: These are shows that I already started, but I'm beginning to have second thoughts. Shows that have me continually questioning my continuation goes here. There's a chance I may stick with them, but once they get this tag, it's highly unlikely. Canceled or not, once I'm done, it gets removed from my watchlist.

Specials: This is a list of shows with Special episodes I was unable to obtain or watch. Some specials are challenging to obtain after the airdate, and some never air at all, even though they're still listed as aired across some external sources lol. You might find some on YouTube, some on their official websites, and some at unusual locations, but your mileage may vary. Either way, those shows get tagged here. I originally used the acquired checkboxes for this. If I didn't get to see a particular Special I would leave the box unchecked and mark it as watched as a visual cue, but that ends up taxing towards your Time Spent.

So to summarize, the "All" episode list category is my default view, the tags are simply used as storage locations, and the "Shows you're not tracking" function is as it states for me. The reason why I use the "All" category view in my Episodes List is that I like to include both my weekly rotational lineup and shows I'm binging from my BB list, in combination with the tracking function, as a single view. I tend to heavily lean on my calendar and the tags as the lights on the runway, while the tracking function serves as window blinds. Some may find my tags to be a little redundant and choice of words interesting but it works very well for me. smile

Please try turning it off for Next Episode and see if it fixes it (and please report it to them so they undo whatever they did for Next Episode).
