They are addictive as much as normal cigs are but they dont pump you full of the things combustion creates. There's like a thousand things you inhale along with nicotine (including cyanide and some other creepy stuff). I'd rather be addicted to them than to nicotine and all that other crap. As far as the pricing goes - I spend about 300zł (nevermind the exchange rate) per month on cigs. The ecig will last for 2-3 up to 4 months (depending on the quality of the piece) and costs me 177zł. Seriously, I don't see any disadvantages. Maybe I will. Dunno. Time will tell. As for the Web presence... tell me about it. I still can't believe how many companies in my vicinity can even prosper without a stupid website... It's just beyond me . Next time I visit your parts I'll bring a pack of Raczki's as a gift . @godzionu International sweets exchange - that could work . 53 2009-10-21 19:02:53 (edited by fjarle 2009-10-21 19:04:44)Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*Mxyzptlk Snus is a much more physical thing to quit. I get real withdrawal, my whole body tingles and if people say they're cranky while quitting smoking - well, this is ten times that. I get plain angry... at anything that moves! While "detoxing" I usually need to reserve the day after stopping for sleeping/being an ill tempered moron... With cigarettes it's much more subtle. You feel slightly off. There's something you need to do - but you can't quite define it. I'm guessing it's much more a psychological thing than a physical thing. I've never felt physically bad while quitting smoking - just restless. And as both activities peak during boredom - being at home without something to do makes withdrawal from both ten times harder to deal with. When I quit I usually stock up on junk food and games/movies/episodes to last me through a day or two. After that it's pretty much plain sailing - hard but not impossible. Usually keeping clean between the first week and the first month is a lot easier than not starting again after three months. That's when you're getting the feeling that you're somehow safe and that one cig/"pris" (one portion of snus) isn't all that... Problem is - unless you bum it off someone else - you almost always have left overs for sunday... Oh, and I copy/pasted your nick... grrrr! (edit) Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*naah he is just cool. Yes he was spot on, but the show is still boring as shit. They have food, power, air what will next week episode be about??? garbage disposal? Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*proteinnerd wrote:
Yeah, it is quite boring. . . I still have hope though. I'm giving it a season to get interesting. I imagine it should be pretty good when they stop having problems with the ship and start exploring and stuff. . . Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*Yeah... I'm also getting bored by the ship... I want some alien races and new environments.. Why would the doc have known what was going to happen? And if he did, why wouldn't he have told anyone? Unless of course, he just suspected it like Z1rra, but than it wouldn't matter... 61 2009-10-24 13:01:20 (edited by caruthers 2009-10-24 13:05:55)Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*Nah, I don't think Rush knows what the ship is capable of, he just has faith that it is built to cope with all eventualities - something not altogether surprising for an automated ship. Remember he is also no friend of the military and so when the idea of him having known that the ship was safe all along came up he was no way gonna give "Crutch" a straight answer, he wants/needs to keep their relationship antagonistic. I'm liking this series so far, I think it is far more atmospheric than other SG series and the characters are growing on me. And forgive me for saying so but the lack of aliens (well, apart from the desert planet lifeform in E03) and the such makes it far more "realistic" than the rest of the SG genre, and much more similar to the approach taken in BSG. I'm sure that will change of course, people like dem alien hordes! Re: 1x04 *may contain spoilers*caruthers wrote:
Yeah... we don't really watch Stargate for the realism... Posts: 51 to 62 of 62Forums - Next Episode → Stargate Universe → 1x04 *may contain spoilers* |
