Topic: Best multi-episode guest spot on Friends by a famous actor?
I thought this was an appropriate poll since I've been watching so much of Friends recently. They were almost as well known for their famous guest stars as anything else. I've restricted the poll to guest stars who appeared in more that one episode to get the numbers down a little, though no doubt I've still missed some. Which one did you enjoy the most?

I can't believe you missed Sean Penn as Eric, Ursula's boyfriend, and later Phoebe's boyfriend.

I did think about including him, but I already had a couple of guest stars with a connection to Phoebe, and I wanted to get a good mix without making the list too long... possibly a mistake on my part. Cos he was funny as David the science guy.

Mentis & dorklene, you may want to check the specification I used for the poll, that the guest star had to be a multi-episode guest. One offs don't count. dorklene wrote:Tate Donovan (crazy ducks!) elle mcPhearson as Janice although she was pretty annoying...and a bad actress Dermot Mulroney...oh so cute Aisha Tyler...love the interracial dating....rare on friends.
I think you meant Maggie Wheeler as Janice, not Elle McPherson. And I wouldn't class MW as particularly famous, other than as Janice. And I thought about Tate, Dermot & Aisha, but all 3 of them annoyed the crap out of me, so I decided to leave them out.

Nope. Elle McPherson as Joey's dancer roommate/girlfriend. And yes. Maggie Wheeler is hilarious! she should win the prize for best guest appearance. The phrase "oh my god" has never been the same.

I figured you were talking about Maggie Wheeler, cos Elle McPherson is on the poll.

depends what you are classing as "Guest" as a few of them were before they were proper famous, Giovani Ribisi, Paul Rudd(maybe) i guess the biggest named "guests" would be bruce willis and tom selleck

Giovani Ribisi and Paul Rudd were both famous before Friends. I would say the only one who wasn't is Eddie Cahill - he got the gig on CSI: NY after Friends.

I suppose I know GR more as a child actor in things like My Two Dads and The Wonder Years etc, but PR was in Clueless, Romeo + Juliet, The Object of My Affection, The Cider House Rules... tons of stuff.

My vote would go to Reese Witherspoon but AFAIK she guest starred in one episode. So - Nobody watches Friends anymore - get with the times! :>

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Although some of the out of date bits make me laugh - like the episode in season 2 where Chandler brags about how cool his laptop is, but it's like a calculator by today's standards.
