Just watched some clip, this could be good.

It was interesting. Can't wait for the next episode...

The ep was great, can't wait for next ep!!

I dont get Virtuality up as an active show on my watchlist....

Well...its on my watchlist and its actually under Active shows but it never came up with an "airdate", and still dont.

The theme song from the "Munsters" sung in Japanese was awesome.

It was okay. Not great IMHO.
There are much better scifi pilots that never made it that I would watch instead like Global Frequency, etc.
It does have a "interesting" cliffhanger..

There will not be another episode - even before airing Fox decided (a couple months back) not to pick it up. Around February/March is the time when new shows ordered by networks are screened and the decision is made to pick it up or not. So Virtuality was dead even before it was born.

In this regard it shares the fate of Global Frequency, with the difference that Global Frequency's pilot had to be leaked illegally, while Virtuality was voluntarily aired by Fox - maybe because the investment was too high or because it was Ron Moore's (Battlestar Galactica) show, who knows.

Having said that, there was a rumor that Fox might reconsider picking it up as a recurring show if the critics loved it and the pilot could gain a wide audience. The critics loved it alright, but due to MJ's death the ratings were piss-poor, so even if the rumor was true, now Virtuality stands virtually (pun intended) no chance.

I kind of liked the pilot - it was different and had promise. But it also suffered from the same problem any "realistic" space show has: all the characters were borderline psychotic and crazy and thus unlikeable. Other than the ship's engineer I hated each and every one of them. And I also hated the intentionally bad special effects in all the fake realities. I would continue watching it had it continued, but now that point is moot.
