You cannot be serious!!!!

Re: Season 1 - first half

people are all edgy and shit... i'm so happy i'm superficial enough so i usually miss all the things wrong with the shows. i'm mostly surprised when someone comes up with a two page critique of a show i really liked big_smile

Re: Season 1 - first half

If this show makes any sense, all of the flashes will come true. They will not be able to change anything..

in a 1992 paper, hawking uses the metaphorical device of a "chronology protection agency" as a personification of the aspects of physics which make time travel impossible at macroscopic scales, thus apparently preventing time paradoxes.
and, according to wikipedia: "the ideas of the chronology protection conjecture are completely serious".
so, i admit that i have never seen this show, but a reasonable approach would maybe be to find out in what specific ways the show breaks the rules about time, and then draw conclusions of what is possible given these new premises?

wow
In plain english, please.

Re: Season 1 - first half

Almost every sci-fi show breaks some laws of nature or scientific rules... that is not interesting and I'm very much okay with them doing that, as long as they can make sense of it... What boggles me is when they start to break their own rules. In flash forward they haven't done that... yet. I do however have a feeling that they will... unless of course, the direction is that all the flashes will come true, and they will all be impossible to change.

Re: Season 1 - first half

so.... let's say you were entirely right and all FlashForwards were to come true... how would the non-Flash of Agent Demetri (in a way confirmed by phonecall) and his fiance's about their wedding on that special day come together?
That particular scenario suggests that you CAN influence your future...

Or what would you say?

this is how i think this one pans out - he gets shot and killed - the fiance takes it very badly, breaks from reality and makes a fantasy life for herself and lives out her dream life. So when she flashes she has all the feelings and remembers that scenario as if it is real.

Did she actually see him? or did she just think she saw him? Wasn't 'Dimitri' actually way off in the distance on the beach in her Flash Forward? I'll have to replay the episode to see for sure...

Re: Season 1 - first half

Yes, he was waay ahead of her, so she assumed that it's him.

I agree with Rob here... When she first shared her vision, I felt that she merely assumed that Demetri was there and that she did not actually see him close up...

The thing is that we have seen evidence on that peoples flashes will come true because they had the flashes in the first place. We also know that the flash had happened in the flashes(!) so everything that is happening happens because of the flashes, and it had already happened in the perspective of the future people in the flashes.
The easiest way to get the universe out of balance would probably be to find a person that you saw in your flash, and kill him/her.

it doesn't have to be so dramatic...live normally and then on the 29th, lock yourself in a panic room and don't get out.

96

Re: Season 1 - first half

yeah. and as was in the latest episode of The Simpsons. if you do not have the panic room, then go and buy one big_smile

So... you're saying the FlashForwards will come true... alright... So Demetri knows he'll get 3 in the chest on March something 2010. I am SURE he'll be wearing a Vest on that day...

What's next? wink

Maybe he will use a vest but, maybe he was supposed to wear it and the killer was using AP bullets?

...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Season 1 - first half

well... that could of course be the case... oh well... there's a lot of stories yet to be told... and I'm looking forward to seeing every single one of them unfold...

Apparently he will die that day... because he did die that day. Otherwise he wouldn't have died in the flash...
