but it's not as if they're doing everything to stop it...he's even arranging the board so it would look like in the flash. easiest would be to not investigate at all... why don't they try that.

Well it may look kind of dumb, but:
a) it's their job to start an investigation
b) they haven't got any solid leads (even with the site it will take some time to analyze the data sent by the people), so Mark tries to use the memories from his flash
c) they didn't see an apocalypse or anything; of course for some it was worse than for others but no 'apocalyptic worse'

still...wouldn't hurt to deviate a little bit, just to fuck with it...maybe they're gonna do it the night before the flash though. gives it less chance to go wrong

i like this show. will continue watching it. its nothing mega, but very watchable and accupies 42 minutes of my time a week.

aha!
Fail spotted in episode 2 at 44:21 as Mark is saying goodnight to his daughter.
In a previous scene (42:56) he has thrown the bracelet in the fire but now it is back on his left wrist. 
Pretty cool show so far...

Your right. It's strange because when he walks into his daughters room he doesn't have it on, yet it magically appears on his wrist seconds later.

ok i have a bad feeling about this show now. on the 3-d episode they bring in jews and nazis. and i know how much the "politically correct" world loves jews and hates nazis. ohh dear, ohh dear.

I think this show is going to keep us bouncing between these 3 theories:
1. the future can't be changed: the main role FBI guy (forgot his name too) and his board of clues
2. the future can be changed: the Asian guy (forgot his name) and his fiancee having totally different flashforwards but she sees him in hers. She's lying ?
3. the flashforward was something everyone needed to see in order to have a certain future: the WPD guy (forgot his name) and his (ex)wife, he sees his daughter alive

Personally I think the flashing maybe them (or some of them) seeing themselves in the alternate reality lives.

I'm not overly excited by this show, it's decent sci-fi but not 'great' for me. I'll keep watching but hope it improves a bit.

It was a promising pilot, but episode 2 and 3 heavily declined imo.. Hope the quality increases soon

I'm desperately trying to shorten my watchlist as much as I can stand, but 16 (active) tv shows still remain

I meant 16 active shows as in 16 shows that hasn't been cancelled/finished. It's less than that weekly, but it's still a little too much for my taste. I have other priorities too

But do you guys really think nazis will have a prominent influence on the show? It was my understanding that the creators for the show had to find one nasty criminal to be released based on a vague hint to help them in their goose chase. A mass murderer would do the same trick but it is more evil and controversial with a nazi being released.
And now on to something else; before this show I was often thinking about how small actions or adjustments in your daily routine can be potentially life altering. Imagine stepping in front of a car forcing the driver to stop, this 4 second delay can at a later stage be the cause of a car accident the driver is involved in. Hmmm. Mind twisting. Goodle the butterfly effect. Some of this stuff is fascinating.
