Re: Season 1 - first half
Karenbear: Didnt almost everyone see the date and time in the flash? I did get that impression.
Uh yeah, I guess a lot of people did. Sorry, I don't get what you're asking...

Re: Season 1 - first halfwell... kb, if you were to get a flash of what's waiting for you 6 months from now and then that event however good or bad it might be (John Cho) occurred.... wait... what was I trying to say?! right... the future the people saw is the one that would've happened when they wouldn't have had their Flashs... we and they don't know if or how people can influence their own future... On a completely different level: WHO CARES? THIS SHOW IS JUST PLAIN AWESOME!!!! and it#s definitely a keeper. Re: Season 1 - first halfWell I guess that depends on the philosophy the writers aspire to - determinism or free will. Now that they know the future can they change it, or what they've seen will happen no matter what. Re: Season 1 - first halfSo you got the idea that makes it a great show Re: Season 1 - first halfDeterminism vs. Free will is an interesting angle....but I think that no matter how events play out, there can be no definitive assertion that either is the case since they both look the same in appearance. ...of course there's also the theory that we act based on our perceptions...but that's only valid under the free will tenets. Often it's only after the fact of an action that we come up with an explanation for why we did it. The action seems to happen of its own, and perception follows that and theorizes about it and so forth. At any rate, I'm stoked for more of this show. -Rob Re: Season 1 - first halfkarenbear wrote:
I was answering your quote with: Didnt almost everyone see the date and time in the flash? I did get that impression. Therefore your concern is invalid. Re: Season 1 - first halfIs there one or two episodes out? On my stuff to watch there is one 1x0 and one 1x1... Re: Season 1 - first halfMoze wrote:
No it's not. And it's not a concern - I was actually trying to be funny, but nobody got it. But my point is - yes, most people knew the date, therefore their flashforward would have consisted of them acknowledging that this was the moment they flashed to, because they'd been checking out their watches and clocks and waiting for this moment... Oh never mind. Re: Season 1 - first halfThey will most likely be able to change events... otherwise there would have been no reason for them to see the future at the first place... but of course, not everything has to have a reason (unless when it comes to fiction, obviously) Re: Season 1 - first halfkarenbear wrote:
yeah, i dropped a similar 'but, but...' comment but deleted it when i saw what you were trying to do... ... i'm going to eat your brains and gain your memories...
Re: Season 1 - first halfI like the whole future thing. Really looking forward to next few episodes. They could just as easily screw things up with the story But I have faith it is going to be a really cool series. "Is this about my Myspace page..? Because I can take that down."
Re: Season 1 - first halfI sure hope they manage to survive this season.... cause with LOST ending next year, there's a lot of people without their scifi-mystery tv-show hungering... so... Good Luck, Flash Forward. I'm counting on you!! 40 2009-09-29 14:44:45 (edited by Wizard 2009-09-29 14:46:02)Re: Season 1 - first halfVery strange show. The creepy bit is... ▼Spoiler that freaked me out. This show has potential - let hope they don't screw it up. DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves. This one was a slower Episode.... but damnit this show is gonna ROCK Re: Season 1 - first halfI love the ending of this episode.. chocking and powerful I do, however, have a problem with the doll. If he had that picture on the wall and he created the situation which aloud the picture to be taken, on information he got from the wall -> that would suggest that what ever they do, nothing will change... that does in turn get me back to someones original question: If nothing will change, the flash had happened in the flash too, everyone should have been aware about the moment they flashed to... and perhaps they should have been looking at their watches... Did anyone get anything of what I just wrote? Re: Season 1 - first halfMxyzptlk wrote:
I did but I think my soul died a little in the process, but I hope that Demetri Noh won't die because I enjoy John Cho too much and I think he gives a lot to the show. 46 2009-10-05 00:06:08 (edited by xrnzaaas 2009-10-05 00:07:31)47 2009-10-07 04:08:04 (edited by penguin 2009-10-07 04:08:28)Re: Season 1 - first halfDefinitely, the best new show of the season - hands down! 48 2009-10-07 07:38:23 (edited by timmoody 2009-10-07 07:38:50)Re: Season 1 - first halfin a sense it's so damn easy to divert from the flash forward. just do one thing different and it's not the same. if i saw something i didn't like, i would definitely try to avoid the paths i recognize from the flash. they do exactly the opposite 50 2009-10-07 13:50:29 (edited by xrnzaaas 2009-10-07 13:50:55)Re: Season 1 - first halfz1rra wrote:
