Topic: Season 8 info

- As we know, it will be set in NY. But the political plot will move from the White House to the HQ of the UN.
- The interval between season's 7 and 8 will be one and a half year.
- New screenwriter joined the group of the 24 staff, Patrick Harbinson (Law & Order, Millenium, ER).
- New people in the cast:
*Nazneen Contractor as Kayla Hashemi - daughter of one of the presidents in the Middle East.
*Freddie Prinze Jr as Davis Cole - former soldier, now the head director of CTU.
*Jennifer Westfeldt as Meredith Reed - a journalist, who's meeting with the president of one of the Middle East countries.
*John Boyd as Jonah Schwartz - new CTU analist.
*Chris Diamantopoulos as Rob Weiss - new Chef of Staff.
- Also their roles in 24 will reprise: Mary Lynn Rajskub ((Chloe O'Brian)woohoo!), Annie Wersching ((Renee Walker)woohoo!), Cherry Jones (President) and... Elisha Cuthbert ((Kim Bauer)whyyyy!!!).
- The main plot is the assassination of one of the Middle East president, who comes to visit the USA. Jack is coming back to health, but he's still not in perfect shape. Also, as you probably figured it out now, CTU is back to kick ass. And have a mole tongue.

Will Kiefer Sutherland be returning for another season or will his character die?

Without Kiefer, there's no Bauer. Without Bauer, there's no 24.

I just don't want to see her kidnaped, again.

Isn't that like, why they made her a bit more spunky in season 7, she like "sorta" kicked some ass, and got to be the one that "sorta" saved Jack when HE was kidnapped, this time around? tongue

Re: Season 8 info

There's an interview with one of the producers on YouTube, and he said they will NEVER kill Jack Bauer. But then, terrorists have been trying for years to kill him. If it was going to happen, it would have already

12

Re: Season 8 info

As said somewhere before. The idea of killing off Jack was already passed since season 2, where he should die from a cardiac arrest. Since then he died several times but always lived on. Now it's clear that the brand Jack Bauer is way to valuable then to dismiss it.
So the producers decided to keep JB alive after S8 to make some nice movies for the big screen afterwards.

Re: Season 8 info

I hope this one is "as good" or better as Season 7. I found Season 1, 2 and 3 really good, 4 was lame, 5 and 6 were just post-9/11 terrorism propaganda which people outside of the US have trouble not finding provocative. Season 7 was going the right way until the dramatic plot changes in the end that make anything go.

Elisha Cuthbert can't really act and she can't really hide she doesn't care much for her last role in Season 7. It's pretty easy guesswork that agent Walker is going to be at CTU and that Jack Bauer is going to be an important person there too.
