Re: Greatest TV Bad Guy?

Nah, my dad went the opposite way - he retired from the police about 6 years ago.  I think he would have made a pretty good methodical killer though.  I get that from him.  wink

And my sister would so not be interested in hanging out here.  She's not really an online person.  She's not a fan of computers in general.  Which is weird for someone with a job title of systems analyst.  But she's all about having a "real" life, with friends she goes out to socialise with.  *shudder*  Not my cup of tea but life would be boring if we were all the same.  big_smile

well you can 'rather' all you'd like... FACT: not gonna happen... lionel gets the douchebag honor, if only for having such a douchey sounding name...

I dodged a bullet, thank you tzuriel, and nice maiden post Dark Defender, exactly what a post should be like with your absolutist salute to Farscape using some BSG flare!

Coolest Scifi Term:

Kaplah (Star Trek)
Frak (BSG)
Mudders! (Firefly)
Zhaan (Farscape)
Ghoa'uld (SG1)
Schwartz (Spaceballs:  The animated series)
ZPM (Atlantis)
Jor'el (Smallville)
TARDIS (Doctor Who)
Zneet (My Hero)

Can't think of any for:
Lost?
Heroes?
Supernatural?

I dunno, could be an intersting poll.

I like the idea, but I don't like using words like ZPM, Goa'uld, Tardis or Jor'el... in other words, no names for things or abbreviations... But words like Frakk (BSG) and Goram (Firefly) would be great... made up words.... This would, of course, only work if we can remember more of these kind of words from different shows, but I think that we can manage that... if we put our minds to it wink

For example:
Correctimundo (Doctor Who)

This was supposed to be a list, but I couldn't come up with more for the moment... perhaps more will come to me hmm

Edit: "Goram" might be some mandarin word, but it sounds made up to me tongue

Re: Greatest TV Bad Guy?

I support Mxy idea, that no names.. i would like more terms (verbs).. like Frak.... for example, TARDIS is just a acronym for Time... something, don't want to look it up..

Coolest scifi term could be anything....Dilithium crystals.......2 words...doh........Goa'uld is a cool scifi term....why no names for things?  Frak is a name for Fuck.....Kaplah is simply Klingon for success.....Mudders and Schwartz are just funny........:D

I'm sure more will come to you guys during the week.

I can't really explain why, it just doesn't feel right smile

Just checked wiki... : Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space

Re: Greatest TV Bad Guy?

instead of just "checking" a wiki you should have recalled that in the new series it is singular... the old series used the plural for a short while, but the official canon is singular...

example: 3x01 - smith and jones: 40:42

http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Tardis

and yes, i'm being anal... simply because the plural just doesn't make logical sense...

I agree with you, as to finding the facts in the show, and not on some site... but using plural makes more sense to me... there isn't only one relative dimension, there are many relative dimensions....

Re: Greatest TV Bad Guy?

and there are many times... but the TARDIS can only exist at one time and dimension at any given moment... by your rationale then it should be Times And Relative Dimensions...

I would say that the tardis exists, not at one time and dimension at any given moment, but that it exists everywhere at every moment. All places and times that it has and is going to visit....
