Topic: Best New York based sitcom?There seems to have been an inordinate amount of American sitcoms based in New York through the years - I don't know if it's because there's a disproportionate number of sitcom writers who come from there or what, but many have certainly found a lot of humour to be found in the city that never sleeps. I've picked 13 of the best (otherwise known as 13 that I've watched and could think of while I was in the shower 15 minutes ago) - which one is your pick?

Re: Best New York based sitcom?Went with HIMYM also. But 30 rock is good too. HIMYM got Neil Patrick Harris.. So How I Met Your Mother FTW just because NPH character.. and second place for 30 rocks because Alec Balwins and Jordan Tracys characters..

Re: Best New York based sitcom?Cosby Show... Maybe that's a little bit sentimental, but that was one of the first foreign show that I've seen on polish tv at the beginning of 1990's... also that was one of the first I've seen

When I watched Friends for the first time back in the day, it was dubbed. No one really understood the humour pouring out of Perry's character back then, and everyone thought Joey was the shit. When I started downloading tv series, I re-watched the whole friends series in english, and man, Chandler is the funniest character in there, hands down. It's nearly impossible to translate his humour properly it seems... And we should probably have a Funniest Character EVAR poll, Chandler is in my Top3 ...
Re: Best New York based sitcom?Yeah Chandler is one of the funniest sitcom characters ever. Certainly the funniest of the 6 Friends by far. Taking relatively recent sitcoms, I love Chandler Bing, Sheldon Cooper, Barney Stinson, Jack Donaghy, Bill McNeal... Man, they really need to come up with some funnier roles for women in sitcoms.
