Topic: Season 9 is a go

Tom Welling signed a new contract to be in Season 9. So CW renews Smallville for one more season at least. They also renewed Supernatural, Gossip and 90210.

is it a good idea, to have a another season.
If you have too many seasons about one guy, he will start thinking that hes superman or something..

i thought most of the people on this site hated smallville like i do hmm
i enjoyed the first seasons but come on
its so boring and predictible by now

Oh come on....it's getting better

The first couple seasons really grated on me...what was that guys name clarks supposed "best" friend...
the guy that just made an appearance not long ago in the chewing gum factory..damn was he annoying.

I am so happy they axed his character....for Clarks best friend he was really a whiny a-hole.

from right before Clarks dad died all the way till now, I have liked....it's dragged a little but they have done so much more.

They finally started to show the shift towards superman, they began to preview some soon to be super friends, they introduced Lois.
The had supergirl drop in and explain more of Kalel leaving Krypton. It's introduced brainiac...

I could live without the first three seasons and be happy

Long time of fan of Smallville I'm pleased they're back for another season but they really have to step up and get with the program and stop all the messing around with storylines.

When he going to wear the glasses to hide his identity and come out into the world? I know the show was never supposed to be about Superman but Clark Kent but it's gone way past that, they should have kept his wearing those glasses after his eyes got damaged back when he was in Smallville.
They need to evolve the story and move into a new chapter and just pull out the suit and let him go up, up and away.

I can live without the 5 minute pg13 moment from Lana..and the first three seasons are annoying out of all of them....especially clarks supposed best friend (not Lex..) I can't remember his name but the black kid whi makes a comeback with some meteor rock powers...God was he the most whiny worst friend ever.

I can't stand how they made Doomsday a man. It's so annoying!
Why can't they just make reference to him and possibly show some of the background story to Doomsday via flashes as seen in the comics when the scientics are creating him. Would make for much better viewing.
