Topic: Heroes?

Last year I did a poll on the most popular show according to n-e users, and Heroes came out on top.  The show has arguably gone a touch downhill since then, so I was interested in the current opinion on the show.

For info, I gave up on it a while back.  How about you?

I'm still watching, and I can't see me stop any time soon... but the show isn't as good as it used to be. But than, I watch a lots of shows that might not be too good...

Re: Heroes?

It's one of those shows like Prison Break that started so good, and has slowly gone downhill, but I can't stop watching cos I'm afraid it'll get good again. Though this new series isn't looking good in my opinion... Just hope Dexter doesn't go that way too

Re: Heroes?

Ya, this show definitly falls into a simialr category as Prison Break. It started off and it was unbelieveable. It's definitly gone downhill a bit but I'm still watching, and am still somewhat enjoying it.

This is the problem with some of these concept shows like Heroes or Prison Break, once the initial mysteries are unravelled, it just starts to stretch, especially because the show is focused on the same main characters... Although Lost has done an amazing job at just keeping the mystery going even after 5 seasons.

Re: Heroes?

I think the last 3 episodes have done a good job at getting things back on track...Sylar's storyline is interesting...The Heroes are banded together against Nathan's project...Claire is more functional apart from being daddy's little girl who's confused about her destiny...it's good. It may not be the most exciting time in the course of the show right now, but it is establishing a better framework for things...without 3 time periods to follow, and people switching sides constantly...and far fewer annoying character traits.

^^ What he said.!
I did dip a little, but s5 is great.

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

Re: Heroes?

I'm loving these last few episodes! Sylar is the main reason I think the show is so good still, what a brilliant character!

Re: Heroes?

This show has nothing in common with Prison Break.  Besides that  - what Rob said big_smile

The show is certainly getting on track after the midseason break - if somebody watched until now there is no reason to stop anytime soon wink

Re: Heroes?

Doesn't seem like it's living up to it's potential. Still I keep watching and thinking it will get better.

Re: Heroes?

Not the best show out there, but i keep watching it, because Syler is too cool:P

Re: Heroes?

Sylars storyline is the only reason i still watch the show....
Claires storyline is the worst and i feel like banging my head against the wall every time i see her.

I only mentioned that Heroes falls into a similar category as Prison Break, in the sense that, for both shows season 1 was unbelieveable, but once the initial thrill/mystery/suspense of season 1 wore off, it just wasn't close to the same. I still continue to watch both shows and enjoy them, but undoubtly they are nowhere near as good as they were in season 1.
