Topic: Best Joss show?After what seems like an eternity of waiting, Joss Whedon's new show, Dollhouse, starts on Friday, so this weeks polls will be dedicated to this event. I think I know what the ultimate answer to this will be, but up to now, which of Joss's shows do you think is the best. Let the battle begin.

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.
Re: Best Joss show?It's almost impossible for me to choose between Firefly, Buffy, and Angel, so I basically just had to click at random. I was an atheist until Joss became my god. It's true.

Re: Best Joss show?Went for firefly, but I am a huge Joss-fan, do it might not be the easiest choice... I am really disappointed that "Joss who?" has the lead in this poll.... we are one a tv-show site, and people don't know who Joss Whedon is! That's embarrassing... Really looking forward to Dollhouse... have high hopes for that one... and Joss hasn't let me down yet

Re: Best Joss show?I enjoyed Buffy but felt it was 1 -2 seasons too long (the crappy one somewhere in the middle with the cyborg!! eck!) My vote definitely has to go to Angel!! Characters you already knew, more adult than buffy, great story lines, highlander-like flashbacks, charisma carpenter... what more can you ask for? One of the best series EVER!

I'm really not into the sci-fi stuff so I didn't bother watching Firefly, but I did watch Serenity when it came out at the insistence of one my my friends who loved Firefly and my goodness, I actually fell asleep halfway - it was so dull! And so totally weird! I recently bought the entire box sets of Buffy and Angel (the plus side of the credit crunch - Zavvi going into administration and practically giving away the DVDs) and was amazed at just how good Buffy is! And my favourite season was 6 (two of the best episodes - Once more with feeling and Tabula rasa). Angel - only just got onto season 2 as I took a long break after they killed off Doyle, totally broke my heart :-(

Re: Best Joss show?No real contest here, it's Firefly. I tried to watch Buffy but it seemed a bit juvenile even though I usually like juvenile. I liked Angel and watched all seasons but come on, Firefly was the best TV show ever made. So what's Dollhouse about?
Re: Best Joss show?agree that firefly is one of the best shows ever made, but buffy will always be my number one. everything that can be said has been said about it, but i think buffy is quite the genius show. angel is awesome too. but buffys got them beat if the apocalypse comes.... beep me!

Re: Best Joss show?firefly... a tough one to call though, as others pointed out here, each show has a different flavour... i like them all for different reasons... but firefly gets my vote... i'm going to eat your brains and gain your memories...

Re: Best Joss show?You have to put all the shows in their time frames, Buffy started out as crap, new actors and low funds, but developed into a great show. Angel started of with experienced actors, prolly on the Buffy budget, and it was a good spin-off! And I have to agree that both last seasons were one of the best seasons, perhaps even the best! Still went with Buffy, of course No kitty that's a bad kitty!

I started watching it with my wife (as per usual my wife feel asleep 1/2 way through episode 2) this is never unexpected as it happens to her with "ALL shows" watched after 10pm. I kept going to ep 4........ then I was abducted by aliens (they looked a lot like my kids) I sleep through most or all of these
Re: Best Joss show?It my not be fair to compare the three Joss shows head to head. After all Buffy and Angel are fantasy action shows while, Firefly was a true Science Fiction show. It seemed to strive for realism even to the point of having no sound in space. That's truly a rare thing on a Sci Fi TV show. Re: Best Joss show?who?
