paisley1 wrote:I thought the Claudius whateverdafuckus, why do you hate baby's and tvtorrent.dick comments were pretty freaking hilarious. As is your office at the U.N. Crass yet Clever, freaking hilarious Ben!
Ok, first you take Ben's position as most ... 'unliked' ... person around here, now you're going after mine as 'best Ben fan/supporter' ? What the hell ... And paisley1 wrote:What was your actual vote?
I have a reputation uphold man, That 70's gets my vote whatever the poll is (unless Arrested Development is in there).

I like it, and always get a good laugh, but to say it's something amazing or more than average I just don't understand that. Where does that come from? Europe? I blame the Lithuanians and their flying lobsters....damn you....(shaking my fist and cursing the sky)...... I'm even hated by Ben, did you see the spat he wrote....it's great seeing that kind of passion and emotion spill forth from the responses, as illogical and hilarious as they are. Fan boys and girls galore on this site! ....you too Santah....what's the h for anyway? I feel a new discussion thread coming on.
i think you the fan boy... you been babbling on how great Rome is

Re: Best period TV show?
I think the issue here is the same as the issue in Poll #1: Who would win, Superman vs. Batman? People actually chose Batman! Holy stupidness (,Batman!)! Obviously Superman would win! but noooOOoOOooo, people like Batman, so OBVIOUSLY they're gonna vote for Batman without thinking about it... ...and they're gonna vote for That 70s Show in the 'Best Period Show' poll too.... [immitationthatmayormaynotcrossaline]I LIKE BATMAN TOO!...MORE THAN SUPERMAN![/immitationthatmayormaynotcrossaline] ...but I still did the responsible thing and voted for Superman, because he's Superman, and would kick Batman's sorry behind to the moon and back at lightning speed. ...and I voted for Rome in the Period poll too, because that's the intelligent and responsible thing to do! There is such a thing as having a wrong opinion...the problem is that schools these days, most likely due to the politically correct influences of the secular humanists, are actually teaching moral relativism... ...either that, or tv actually does rot your brain. Both ways we're more or less screwed. People these days would vote against Jesus in a nice person poll! -Rob

Re: Best period TV show?
Moral relativism, to me(lol), is more the consequence of intellectual error than anything. It's funny to me, that schools teach intellectual error these days. It's now cool to have guest speakers in universities that advocate for the idea that the US deserved 9/11...or even crazier, that they did it to themselves! or to have speakers that are holocaust deniers! It's the 'in-thing' to teach about every culture, and every race, and every gender being victims of oppression. Hello! everyone has had ancestors who were slaves if you go back enough generations! Ironically, the life span of slaves in the southern US was nearly twice that of the populations that they were taken from as well...but that's probably a touchy subject to bring up. Point being, that society suffers from a sense of entitlement these days...'make wrongs' are a big part of political agendas...looking for how everyone has been done wrong in the past in order to justify some absurd entitlement belief. Moral relativism and belief in entitlement are like lead weights on society... ...and the sad thing is, that politically correct socialists are among the fastest growing populace that you find involved in all things political. ...so, uh, to get back on topic....you may have noticed a Republican-esque flavour in this post...and Rome was a Republic...so Rome should win, lol! The 70s was an extension of the moral irresponsibility that began in the 60s with the anti-establishment, i'll-do-whatever-I-want mentality (hellooooo socialism!). Hippies vs. Senators...voting for Hippies is like thinking that Batman could beat Superman in a fight! Rome! -Rob

If only it were a socialist program on tv, the irony would've been unbearable...because nothing says 'Hey, i support capitalism' like a girl that gets rich from being almost naked. -Rob

I now see why life on mars isn't doing as well as it should in this poll. apparently some idiot decided to make a American version. I haven't seen it but the original is pure gold i cant imaging this American version is a any good is any good. Look at me slanging of America on thanksgiving. meh. Then again probably the best time to do it.
