**SPOILER** Season 8 thoughts?

after the ending in season 7 i was like, hows he goina get out of this one, i come back and. oh Mack is a genius and clark is powerless and working in russia, what luck this guy has. green arrow is back as a series regular now maybe though, he is in the opening credits.

but no lana, who is clark goina put all his teenage angst into, and no lex, where are we goina get all those impressive speaches from

just classic, i think were going downhill now since were headed out of Smallville, can't really call it metropolis can we

Season opener was mediocre at best, but the 2nd episode was much better. Great chemistry between Clark & Lois which shouldn't come as a surprise. I just wished that Clark has moved on to Metropolis earlier and not in the last season of the show. Tess looks promising as a new addition to the cast. Davis on the other hand is not what I've expected and I'm not too curious about how his "relationship" with Chloe progresses.

I still like the show....and to whoever said it,yea the earlier seasons they did tout it as the early days of superman in smallville.....but uh after 7 years, clark needs to get out and head in that direction...regardless, other wise it would be almost almost as retarded that the original 90210 guys were in high school for a cajillion years...and a college extension could only go so far and possibly split all the cast up.

I unlike alot is pretty happy with the smallville through all the seasons so far, with one single caveat.
The point where they started giving Lana Lang those odd powers with that symbol on her back was a little out of the way, but even still, over all I like what they are doing.

spin off series, Superman I recon its not really ending there goina surprise us with that, so then they wont have all those restrictions they put on the show, and can introduce real DC characters

altryne: Have u read the comic books at all ? I believe the "some ugly dum bitch" is based on the character of mercy, a loyal employee of lex luthor, his right hand if you will. Maybe that will help you to tolerate her a little. I dont think she is ugly though, her hair was styled weird, hang in there for a ball/metropolis charity event/prom style episode and we should see her all dolled up properly.

I, like you have wanted them to end it for a long time just so that it can leave gracefully but CW has not got many high rated shows so they keep spinning that wheel and more often than not they land on bankrupt. I think we are up to 4 times now that Jor-El has stripped Clark of his powers in a season finale (OUT OF A POSSIBLE 7! LOL). I already own the first 7 seasons on DVD and I'm committed to buying the rest so I hope there is not too many more to come.

...so yes the show is dumb and no one would blame you for taking it off your ne watchlist but trust me its easier said than done, theres too many cool characters and nice mythology to go cold turkey. Believe me when I tell you I feel exactly like you do although there was a brief renaissance last season where I though it could capture the glory of Seasons 1-4. (kinda reminded me of how i hated seasons 5 and 6 of buffy but fell in love again with the final 7th season but thats another story and another complete dvd set )

If i had my way Smallville would be in mini series format from now on, comprising of 4 or 5 episodes a year - the season premiere, finale and sweeps episodes but showbiz is a business and we have to deal with it - c'est la vie

not to mention the incredibly painful clark - lana thing over and over and over and over.  oh and here comes kara.  i´m sorry... a multitude of hot girls and no story might have done it for me when i was 14.... but not now

yeah im confused about that, did the braniac thing remove her power to heal, or does she still have it?

I thought they had one more season after this!?!
