Topic: Favourite sitcom couple?
We recently had a poll on favourite TV partnerships, so I thought it might be fun to try out a poll on your favourite sitcom couples. There have certainly been enough of them over the years. I've chosen a selection of well known couples, as well as a few of my own favourites for you to choose from. What kind of couple do you like - lovey-dovey, on-again/off-again, forever fighting, in denial? They're all here for you to choose from.

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
Red & Kitty should thake this. They won't, but they should. Everyone voting for Ross and Rachel should just go and watch that 70s show. I know, I know, Friends is popular, high rating is to be expecter, but please people - just go and check out "That 70's" show. Just let me know how awesome I am for recommending it afterwards. And no, I don't care if you've seen some random episodes on TV. Just fucking trust me and try it from the very pilot.

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
I watch a lot of the shows that are listed but I don't like a single one of the couples that are listed. In the end, I chose the least annoying - the Huxtables.

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
Ok, it's 65 votes now (from 16 when I posted this), and Ross and Rachel are still in the lead. I'm bumping Red and Kitty with 300 votes, as unfair as it may seem ... That's right, 300votes. (for now !!!) I can do that. I can allow myself some unfairness . Call me a cheater, but it's for your own good. Trust me and watch damn the thing.

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
With maccool111's & my vote Peggy n Al just pipped 'Ross n Rach' who I find very funny but totally annoying. I HAD to go Peggy and Al, closely followed by Niles & Daphne as I've not really followed the others close enough and some I NEVER heard of.
I sleep through most or all of these

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
I don't know why I chose Ross & Rachel, even though I like'd 70's show... But then again I like half of those. Maybe if there'd been Eric & Donna I'd pick them but...
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
I went for Lily and Marshall. But I guess I would have liked a Chuck and Sarah (from Chuck) choice. I should definitely check the Future poll suggestions section more often. @kb: btw, have we ever had Sarah on botd (Yvonne Strahovski)? I am pretty sure she's not one of the first 700 babes (those I have already rated 2 days left to rate the 300 remaining)

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
Red and Kitty, and i support the very fair advantage, because Ross and Rachel were annoying couple and show Friends i liked. And Red and Kitty were just like in real life one normal couple really is.

Not yet. And I don't count Chuck as a sitcom.

That '70s Show is great, but I voted for Turk & Carla. I think they are definitely the funniest sitcom couple..

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
i voted wrong...when i only read the show names and saw scrubs and voted for it...if i would have read it was Turk and Carla and not Turk and JD i would have went for Ross and Rachel. LOL!!! Turk and JD should have been on there...cause lets face it...they are a couple...not together couple but in their words, "are closer than the average man and wife". ^_^

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
I'm tempted to ask Santah to cheat again myself. I can't believe R&R are winning. They were sooooo awful! We need to start a campaign or something - we have til Sunday morning for the next poll to start. I'd rather it was anyone but them.

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
actually, it's pretty simple the most votes go to the most popular show/actor/director/any show-biased-thing out there if you go to the recent polls link, you'll see the connection it's just that not everyone is educated (series wise) like ... us (the people that think that r&r shouldn've won this) so they are betting on what they've seen/heard of solution? none for the existing problem ... bigger/more popular shows will get more votes

Re: Favourite sitcom couple?
In the end, the sheer popularity of Friends won out with Ross & Rachel topping the poll with 14.9% of the vote. But it was a close race with Peggy & Al from Married With Children coming in right behind with 14.4% Canada unfortunately was getting no love whatsoever, with Emma & Oscar from Corner Gas getting only 0.5% of the vote.
