Topic: Who should win the TV science fair?
There are many shows these days, not just science-fiction, who have a scientific base to them, and many telelvision scientists in them. Among the twelve that I've chosen who do you feel should be crowned the king or queen television scientist. And yes, again I've been very cruel by missing out the 'other' option. Bwahahahahahahah!!!

Re: Who should win the TV science fair?
Sam Carter just because, Amanda is beautiful, RDA had some witty comments about her theories, Rodney is annoying and don't get me started on Sheldon Cooper.... My opinnion on the others... Gil Grissom, knows things but not enough to compete with the top 3 Sam Beckett, oh c'mon...he is a wuss (sorry KB) And these shows I don't even watch... Futurama BSG Eureka NCIS ReGenesis Torchwood EDIT: I forgot Dexter, but he's weird...me no likey.
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Who should win the TV science fair?
Very tough choice but I had to go with Abby and with Rodney a close second.

Re: Who should win the TV science fair?
This was a hard one. I went for Rodney, but the eureka guys are probably brighter. But on the other hand The professor in futurama is great. The motor in his ship moves the universe. That is impossible indeed, but still.

And what has that to do with his scientific credentials? The man had, like, seven doctorates or something!!!!

Err...went for Rodney for no apparent reason. Maybe because he solves the problems on the largest scale and he mostly does it alone.

I guess the guys that invented the light sabers are probably pretty talented scientists.

Re: Who should win the TV science fair?
SO many choices... Dexter is smart as hell, so is Grissom. Sam Becket is one of my favorites too, so I had a hard time deciding. In the end I went for the one who can actually invent anything (a parallel universe in a box, a sniffscope, a clone of himself, a functional what-if machine, etc.). Hands down Fansworth wins the science fair, and he is only like 150 years young, imagine all the inventions he still has in him.

Very true, he did leap before he should have. But he didn't leap for five year - according to the final episode he never stopped leaping.

I agree as well. Rodney McKay is a close second but it;s hard to know how far he would be without borrowing from the ancients and non human cultures.

I think Dexter has had way too much dumb luck to be considered very very smart.

Re: Who should win the TV science fair?
Dexter? You guys seriously voted for Dexter to win as the best TV scientist with 19.7% of the vote. Not that I don't think he's bad at forensics, but pretty much all he does is blood splatter analysis. I only inlcuded him in the poll to get a good balance of sci-fi to non-sci-fi shows. But ok, if that's who you think should win, who am I to argue. I personally voted for Gil Grissom, who came in 4th with 10.6% of the vote.
