Topic: Greatest TV Leader
I wrote this poll a few weeks ago, but with the recent sad passing of the wonderful Don S Davis who played Gen. Hammond on Stargate SG-1, I thought the timing was right to post it this week. I've tried to come up with a decent range of leaders, from various genres of TV, but obviously there could have been many more. Feel free to discuss and debate any you feel I missed here.

Re: Greatest TV Leader
I'm the first one to vote so naturally Mal takes the lead!

Re: Greatest TV Leader
Even though Jack Donaghy is the leader at this point I must say he is a pu**y. Hammond of Texas beats them all, not because the actor recently passed away but because the character had some balls. He stood up to everybody who tried to f*ck sh*t up for SG-1. And Picard... I am not even going to go there....that egg headed French.
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Greatest TV Leader
I really wanted to go for Hammond but Mal pipped him just. Leads from the front and all that jazz. A true leader
Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering

Re: Greatest TV Leader
Hammond/Picard, Hammond/Picard, Hammond/Picard Like Daemonius said - Hammond Picard's Elizabethan holo deck family always disturbed me if it wasn't for that JEEN LUCK PICK'RD ( think Q here ) would have been my pick.

Re: Greatest TV Leader
But only on TNG. His appearances on DS9 and Voyager sucked.

Re: Greatest TV Leader
Yeah in Voyager he seemed far less omnipitant. Almost scared of the Borg, unless the rest of the Q continuum somehow collectively hobbled him??

Re: Greatest TV Leader
Ah, shocker - it was a close one, but Captain Tightpants won in the end. 15.8% of the vote, compared to Captain Picard's 15.5% second place. And yay for Gen. Hammond who came in third place with 12.4% I'm guessing, despite the popularity of BSG on this site, that not a lot of folk appreciate the leadership skills of President Roslin, who came in last with 1.9%

If you'd put commander Adama there I would've voted for him though!
