I used to watch a lot.... but it has gone down since the military...

4

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

That's one of the reasons why I've never gone back to school - it would really cut into my TV time.  wink

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

used to watch alot of tv but most of the shows just ended for the break... so at the moment not much

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Hence the phrase "average week"  smile

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

I have a habit of 'whoring' TV, but I haven't included that in my answer. For example, I watched all 4 series of Enterprise over the last 2 weeks, as well as my usual stuff.

I have finished download all 10 series of Friends and Stargate, so I'm sorted for the next month smile

9

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Whoring?  Do you mean hoarding?  wink

10

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

No, hoarding would be the collection process, whoring is the act of sitting for 12+ hours watching back to back episodes. Aka marathon-ing. smile

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Bad timing on this pole, really smile Most of the shows are ending and the average hours one spends watching TV shows per week is bound to decrease drastically. :-P

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Then average it over a larger time period.  tongue

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Does dowloading TV shows and watching them on your laptop count?
That makes quite a difference. I don't remember who said this first, but I'm "a TV addict that doesn't watch TV".

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

I'm in that 40+ hr group but I had a weird occurrence happen yesterday (Saturday)... my today, yesterday and tomorrow list on the main page had ZERO bolded shows... I had zero new shows to watch for 3 days! Even during strike time I almost always had a bolded show. I admit, the weekends are usually slow anyways, but Sunday is usually good for at least 1 new show. if this happens in the middle of the week I'll go crazy, maybe I'll be forced to read a book or go outside, my god, what has the world come to!?!?

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

Hello there. I voted 40+. I tried to calculate and came up with an average of 8 hours of tv per day (both downloaded and on "real" tv). This is a bit extreme for me, though. I'm currently watching Farscape, Ghost Whisperer, The F-word and some other shows. Catching up on a lot of shows. Normally I have 2-3 shows per day (downloaded).

But hey, it's my life and I love it.

Re: How many hours of TV do you watch on an average week?

I hope nobody is taking the question too literally.  The "TV" in the question refers more to the watching of television shows - you don't necessarily have to be watching them on a television set, and you certainly don't have to be watching them during the actual broadcast.  Watching them through a DVR, or by downloading, or on DVD all count towards your hours.  smile

Does dreaming about them count?

Edit: I'm so glad this wasn't my 500th post, I may disappear for a while now until I can think of something fitting and suitable for such a momentus occasion.

500th post coming... Congrats!
That begs for another poll: How much time do you spend on this site/forum?
(Please, do not answer. Unless you can think of an amazingly profound answer to this question)
