Re: Firefly

Appearance money for showing up at cons, plus fees for autographs and photo ops are a lifesaver for older actors who are not getting much work anymore (or younger ones who have had one hit and are still looking for another). In addition to the cash (which usually equals what they would get guesting on an episode of a TV show), all expenses are paid and the celebrity gets a few days of adulation. Some appear at studio expense as part of promoting a new show, but most of the celebrities are there to feed the demand for nostalgia acts.

Spoken like a true  Browncoat  sad

I'm not saying i don't appreciate both sides of the argument (positive & negative)
But what's the point of your post besides making the genuine fans feel a bit shit?

I loved it anyway, was great to see them altogether again (money aside)

Quite sure none of them needed that pocket money (even though they probably didn't refuse any). wink

Myka : You slept with her didn't you ?
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.

Re: Firefly

I didn't mean to imply criticism of the appearance money and fees for autographs and photos. These made it possible for more performers (and other members of film crews) to justify traveling to lots of these events (not just cons, but also state fairs and other gatherings). Attendees were willing to pay to get closer to their favorite performers. Galaxy Quest (and a few other flicks) had fun showing that there was more to this aspect of fandom than most people realize. A lot of performers who don't need the money attend anyway because they like their fans, and realize that those fans keep the good times going.

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Technically it isn't. The episode list given here corresponds with the original episode air dates. However, this was not the order in which the producers had intended for them to be broadcast, so when the DVD box set was released they were put into the correct order. Thus, two different episode order lists exist - and the air date list is what you will find on sites like this and IMDB and tvrage.

That is also why they have three episodes listed as "unknown" - those episodes never actually aired.
