So i finally got some time and i managed at last to watch Firefly. I watched the episodes  in the same order with "stuff-to-watch" and i understood that this is the order they aired and not the proper order. So i'm a little confused..Should i watch the movie to clear some things out? Like what happened to Inara leaving or what about the Shepherd? Is there a chance i missed any episode or these questions will remain unanswered for ever?  mad

Ps: I really enjoyed it..I like Nathan Fillion as an actor, by watching Castle but i like him more now.

The movie "Serenity" essentially wraps up the whole story. From what I understand its just a very condensed version of what was expected to play out of the course of the show.

If you enjoyed the series, it gives a great resolution to the story, just make sure you have watched all the episodes in the series first.

No, sometimes the 90 minute pilot is considered as two episodes, so it varies.

As much as i LOVE the series (i have re-watched it maybe 4-5 times) the movie is even better for me.
The extra cash that went into it is very noticeable, not just the special FX, but you can tell they had more time to spend on details in each scene.
I can watch certain scenes over and over, for instance the Bounty hunters 1st kill, the fight in the bar (best fight scene EVER!) and numerous others.
I would also recommend listening to the Commentary to Serenity, it gives you insight into lots of different things.
I may not have noticed for instance that the whole 2 minutes of the 1st scene on the ship was one continuous shot without the commentary, amazing stuff  big_smile
