two episodes in..
liking it, but not loving the it entirely.
not sure if its flipping around too much
or if it has too much un necessary information
on the people in the periphery.

its based on a book series and they mashed parts of book 1 and book 20 ( i think) together
to make this season, and if they did that poorly i could be noticing that...

or if its something else altogether..

but i do love that the season dumped in one day so i can binge it
if i so desire..

update. i finished the season...
personally i think they ruined two very good stories
with a lot of unnecessary junk, family issues, red herrings  and other muck.

either story would have made a great show as a straight simple crime show.
they were likely very good books.

but overall it was severely damaged by mashing up the two stories,
switching between two timelines constantly, and 80% of the family crap.

great actors, great story. great everything, but the production and format ruined it.
if there is a season 2 i hope they just tell one timeline per episode, or split it into
two separate shows.  great cast everywhere would hate to lose anyone.

i am sure some over achieving foo foo artists will love the entire thing as is...
but they care more about the art then the art of telling a story.
