@BookCover - done

56

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

The disabled Search Engine Setting "Enable search by specific episode in Episodes." seems to do nothing in the new UI.

57

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Hey I'd love to try it

58

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Love to try it out as well. smile

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Another possible bug. Well, to me it's a bug, but it may not be a coding problem. And it's certainly not a big problem:

In the Manage Watched list, the season numbers are out of order. Or rather, they're in the old Windows sort order that goes 1, 10, 11, 12...19, 2, 20, 21..., 3, 4, etc.
I've always hated this method of alphabetizing numbers, so if you can control that in some easy way, please fix that. smile

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Something I didn't catch right away is on the original, you could tick them all by click on the tickbox next to the Season #, for both boxes. I use that a lot.

It's in text now, to the far right of the season name. "Mark X eps watched" smile

EDIT: AH, you were talking about *selecting* them all at once. Sorry, misread. Ignore me!

I would love to try it.

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

@a_a_latham_394 - you're in!

@WebWeaver64 - as ArniVidar said, it's now a link that lets you mark everything in a season

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

The Episodes section is now updated.

I have not yet addressed the space issue, but here is what I have addressed:

- search engine settings now affect the Episodes page as before
- fixed the sorting order in Manage Watched (so Season 10 will be after 9, instead of after 1)
- "stop tracking" now dynamically adds the show in the not tracking table, not requiring reload
- "manage ignored" button now shows without needing a page reload
- now there is an "ignore all" link next to "mark all" which ignores all (available) episodes of the season
- once "acquired" is turned on, the additional filter to only show acquired/not acquired now shows up as it did in the old version
- the instructions in the bottom are collapsible and collapsed by default
- fixed the problem of the super long page load when clicking on "not tagged" tag when having many shows

Please keep the feedback, critique and suggestions coming! Thanks!

Thank you for you work!

Hi,

Thanks for all the work.

Do you think you could look into this bug in the near future ? Although on my computer and iPad I use the website, on my phone I prefer the app, but right now it still shows already ignored episode as well.

@bloczone, @shanerd08 - you guys are in as well

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

me too.. dark mode available?

68

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Now we have episode count to watch on watchlist - could we have sort by episode count (ascending/descending)

Yes, dark mode works fine

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

Yes I'll make it so these don't show in the mobile apps soon, possibly tomorrow.

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Beta 2 is now released and it includes a changelog button in which you can see what changed.

I'd love to hear your feedback.

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

The adressed issues and solutions look great. Thanks !

The sort function by "Recently Aired" and "Oldest Air Date" are also a big help.

In addition I was thinking that maybe, whenever new episodes are aired for a show the show is highlighted the first time you open the Episodes tab. Similar to new posts in the forum where you have the blue/orange square.

In Episodes the title of the show (when collapsed) or the title of the episode (non-collapsed) itself could be in a different color or bold.

This way you can see which episodes were added since the last time you opened the tab.

Deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

Beta 2 is much improved, thanks!
Also feels like it's loading faster, overall.

Ignore all works a treat! (but I'd still love an Ignore specials option some day)

The Manage watched and the Manage ignored lists are expanded by default, which is kinda weird compared to the main episodes list that's collapsed by default. Maybe make the other lists default collapsed to all work the same way?

The Set Tags option is now worse than in the old system. Mostly because it's invisible by default, and difficult to find unless you specifically know it exists and that you want to search for it.
Maybe it's just because I use the tagging a lot, but I don't like it being hidden away behind two clicks of a menu.

Also, the "button" for it says "set tag" while the header in the tag setting menu says "Assign Tags".
Aside from the former maybe should be "set tags" plural, maybe just pick either Set or Assign and use the same word on both sides?

A bug for me, maybe intentional for you:
In my Not tagged list, I expand the bottom-most show, three dots, set tag, and assign the tags I want.
Then I straight away expand the next show above, three dots, click set tag, and the site reloads and I have scroll down again, to expand the bottom-most show again, menu again, set tag again. Annoying! There's no need to reload there!
This was never a problem before, and I could always tag multiple shows at the same time without reloading.

Re: Episodes redesign, comments and suggestions

@rafa2618 - you're in, indeed smile

@ArniVidar - it IS loading faster, yes! I'll see what I can do about the rest of your feedback in the next update!
