Arya: The Tiniest Pirate

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

It is starting to grow on me, but the last episode was way too short. Given the number of episodes for this season, I feel we are being robbed here.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

LOVE the show. Raw, direct and fun. And Peter Claffey as Dunk is killing it.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

Love this show.  It's a similar story to the video game Kingdom Come Deliverance that I've talked about over on the games forum, where a peasant becomes a knight, and does everything he can to make something of his life.  wink  Hooked.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

Yay another 30 minute episode. WTH?

6 episodes and 2 of them have been 31 or less.

Can you say dump me now?

Granted I should have looked at the runtime, but shoot me I did not. For the pace of this show, and the horrible small amount of episodes, I think it is a kick in the nads to all GoT people who enjoy this kind of show.

There is simply not enough time to tell a really good story here.

Short episode yes - but what an ending.

2020.  Meh.

Yeah, the episodes are way too short - but just master pieces! Love every second.

Spoiler

why does egg claims to have black pubic hair? Makes no sense wink

True enough. I'd rather have 6 episodes of 30minutes from this than those 10/8 x 60 minutes from House of the Dragon which is so f**ing depressing to watch.

Deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

im loving this show. Not deep into the GoT lore, but even as a standalone it's great. Shame is so short.

Yup - same. It’s fantastic.

I’m surprised it’s not getting talked about more.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

ok so yesterday it said on the Watchlist today is the next Episode, now it says in 2 days is the next Episode, when i click on the Series it says in 6 days is the next Episode, what do i need this website for if this isn't working correctly.

oh and btw i love this series but lets be honest this should be a Movie really not 6 Episodes ala 30min.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

So this is episode four of six. Our hero still hasn't wielded a sword. So we await the series finale and await season two. When? 2027? 2028? Why do we have to wait so long? I love the series, but give us a break. It should have been a movie.

I have to agree; it should have been a movie. Or, at least, more than 6 episodes. I think it just costs too much to make because I really can't see any other reason.

Re: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms [Game of Thrones prequel (kinda)]

A come on... rather short and brilliant than drawn out, dull, boring and inconsistent like the last seasons of GoT or that horrible House of Dragons spin off.

Are the episodes short? Yes.
Are there very few episodes? Yes.
Is this the best show currently airing episodes? Yes !

I am thankfull for whatever I can get smile

I wholeheartedly agree, its short but great.

I think dragging it out and padding it so its longer would only hurt the overall strength of the show.

Uff, and with Episode 5 we get another piece of which made Game of Thrones so great...brutal reality.

As great as it was, I wanted

Spoiler

either to see Dunk bury Rave or visit her grave before he left Kings Landing...the 2 seconds we see him cry were not enough for me to make this flashback as good as it could've been.

He had made the decision to follow his rescuer and did not have time. He was also injured and would have had to drag her out of the city first.

BTW, found this on the Guardian website. I'll never get to see it, but I wish I could.

‘Summer is coming!’: Royal Shakespeare Company to stage epic Game of Thrones prequel

Novelist George RR Martin says RSC is ‘obvious choice’ to put on new play The Mad King, which will open after spring

The play takes place over a decade before the events of Game of Thrones and will feature familiar characters from the houses of Targaryen, Stark, Lannister, Baratheon and Martell. A promotional synopsis states: “A long winter thaws in Harrenhal, and spring is promised. At a lavish banquet on the eve of a jousting tournament, lovers meet and revellers speculate about who will contend. But in the shadows, amid growing unease at the bloodthirsty actions of the realm’s merciless Mad King, dissenters from his inner circle anxiously advance a treasonous plot. Far away, the drums of battle sound.”

Well, lets hope they dont let the fame get to their heads as they write the next season. Keep it simple.

I had the impression that more time passed inbetween the scenes.

Okay, saw the last episode today... what a awesome show! First time in a long long time... I have nothing (well, almost!) nothing to complain about! Loved every minute!

Spoiler

what was that with the music at the beginning and the end of the last episode? So out of "character" and breaks immersion instantly. I mean, was that really necessary???
