Countdown begins with a suspicious murder in broad daylight, leading Los Angeles Police Department officer Mark Meachum to be recruited to a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement that will investigate the death. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.

Just finished episode one. It's pretty good, interesting enough.
Eric Dane (as Nathan Blythe) plays a lead role not too different from the character of Captain Tom Chandler, Chief of Naval Operations in The Last Ship which I also enjoyed.

Just watched the final. What a weird format they went with.

It's basically one season of 9.5 episodes and another half season of 3.5 episodes with a f***ing cliffhanger??
Either they should've ended this season after the 10th episode (9.5) or they should've done a good old full 22 episode season.

Don't get me wrong I like the show... I like the characters and everything about it. Great pace and balance between action and drama. I also like both parts of the season, even if the latter part seems a lot smaller in scale than the first.

But that ending is just not acceptable. You don't do a cliffhanger like that when a second season is not already approved and in planning (which as far as I know it's not).

I accept cliffhangers like that only on like season 6 of longrunning shows like Castle where you knew a next season was coming.

Yes, they should've ended the Season on Episode 9-10 instead of starting a complete new plotline. Would've made it so much better.
