Re: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

I'd recommend both it and The Acolyte!

The former because it's light fun... inoffensive nonsense.

Tho, I've never understood the complaint of 'if I'm not represented, I cannot feel as though I can sympathize with the POV characters.' I've never had an issue getting on board with the Final Girl in a horror even though I am not a girl. If a character is done well I have never had an issue relating them. Though, I do not fault folks wanting to see performers who look like they do, doing stuff. That being said, Star Wars already has a lot of white boy heroes.

The latter because it was absolutely the BEST live-action Jedi anything which Disney had made as of yet! I have already pre-ordered the new tie-in novel. That being as it is, I do hope Ahsoka season two steps up.

Finally, from my experience in western education, parents' opinions on messaging often has little, if anything, to do with how their children feel about whatever it is. At least not for all that long annnnnd in some cases it actively informs them to take an opposite stance wink  I don't think that's where the corporation's worries lie... honestly I'd say it was foreign markets which effect major choices these days. No longer is the question, Does it play in Peoria, now it's, Does it Play in China or India?!

But that's just my perspective.

David Jude Heyworth Law is an English actor.

Thats all I got. They do make wonderful bad guys though.

Not sure what happened there, but I was referring to something Paisley1 said, previous page, last sentence...

Re: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

'ol Graybags was absolutely correct, I was talking specifically about him and to him in my post about Skeleton Crew, like, you are doing such a great job as SM 33 irl that I vote you change your next episode picture.

Seriously though, Nick Frost did such a great job with the voice acting and bringing this character to life, it's probably the reason I finished the season.

Re: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Hmmm, I don't actually look or sound anything like Nick Frost...  But... Erm...  Thanks?

2020.  Meh.

Re: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

I thought it was a bit cheesy, but I enjoyed it. People are blaming The Acolyte and now Section 31 for ruining the franchise and anything associated with it.

Alex Kurtzman should be banned from ever touching anything Trek.

Those are two different franchises though. The former is Star Wars and the latter is Star Trek big_smile

I've found all the Star Wars series ranging from okay to very good so far - I even enjoyed The Acolyte. Section 31, however, was truly terrible. I read reviews, I saw the ratings, and I thoughts I'd enjoy id anyway. Boy, was I wrong!

But on the topic of Skeleton Crew - it wasn't the greatest show but I still enjoyed it.

Ya, I just realized that. I know they are blaming someone. But its all owned by Disney now.

Of course not, that would be ludicrous, I was talking about SM 33.
