Weird... Western media taught me all about those facts. Maybe not as much as about Nazis, but a roughly appropriate amount, given the smaller number of deaths caused (in the West).

It's not the same as in China, where they not only (do their best to) delete unwanted history events, but even remove actors from the web and apps if they say something 'bad'...

Really? Give me a movie or tvshow that talks about or features the deaths during the George Floyd protests. I have completely missed that but I will gladly be wrong.

Before you said "media", now "movie or tvshow"...

I have not yet seen a TV show or movie cover those deaths, but I'm sure they will in time. Contrasting that, the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre will surely not be mentioned in a Chinese TV show or movie for yet another decade.

There are many, you can watch some movies about Chinese history.
