Re: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - 2x8 discussion thread

Holy shit .... I thought I was watching a MAKE-BELIEVE SCI-FI program. How on earth did you lot go down a political rabbit hole.

I think what the World NEEDS is a World War Three..............just so we can start from scratch again.

Be careful with this kind of commentary around here, you'll be interrogated for days.

I pointed out that the show had gone down the road of progressive propaganda, the progressive inquisition showed up shortly afterwards to make sure I wasn't a heretic(they were disappointed).

Curiosity. Is that a bad thing now? Also, Star Trek has always been a thinley veiled excuse to discuss ideology. I really don't see how that is a huge leap, or a leap at all.

Or, hear me out, we put everyone who thinks that on some island together and let them fight it out. Seems much more convenient for the rest of us.

Ah yes, the inquisition. Historically infamous for... *checks notes* asking mildly annoying questions?

Nobody expects those.

Welp; sure didn't expect you to go for it. Guess it still holds up. Nice.

Seems like I hit a nerve...........again! This is what this shitty World needs.......a reset. But that's just my opinion (if I'm allowed to have one these days). Actually, taking your suggestion a little further: Let's divide the Planet in 2. All the Lefties in one half and all the Righties in the other half. Both not allowed to cross over the other side. That way you can live with your rules and shit & I can live with my rules and shit. Seems like a pretty good solution to me.

For someone advocating for war, you sure are very sensitive to even the slightest japes. I’m not sure you’d like actual war..

Make that Australia, maybe. Leave the rest of the planet to the remaining 95+% of people. Those who really don't care to have people with an "opinion" constantly tell them they need to fit into one of two categories.
