Investigators circle the globe in search of evidence in their quest to determine whether life on Earth began in outer space and if aliens influenced mankind in ancient times. Did extraterrestrial beings visit Earth and share information about technology and influence human religions? And more importantly, if aliens visited the planet before, will they return? Alien theorists believe that the answer to both questions is a resounding yes.

"There is a door way in the universe, beyond it, is the promise of truth. It demands we question everything, we have ever been taught. The evidence is all around us.  The future is right before our eyes.  We are not alone, we have never, been, alone."

I dont watch much( extra)  terrestial tv but this channel has been better than much scifi I have watched recently. Star Trek is tame by comparison.

They have been doing lots of shows on UFOs and so called Ancient Aliens how  extra terrestials have been with us for donkey years helping us build eg the pyramids and other sites and some were clearly space ship take off platforms, and some of the fallen stone work was clearly a launch slide for a rocket ( as with the V1s of WW2)

oh some carvings were depictions of kings in space capsules with an oxygen breather on their nose , and if you turned one on its side it looked like those space bikes from Star Wars

oh the Ark of the Covenant was a tool kit that included a nuclear food processor like from Star Trek( manna from heaven legend) and sonic weapon ( walls of jericho) and the special garb the priests wore was partly a radiation suit and the jewels on the breast plate were some kind of comms device as they were like led bulbs that flashed.

What was surprising was some serious academics took part in these flights of fancy, one a Prof of Physics from a California uni who has a decent wiki entry explained how a mystical fire figure could be achieved between the two cerubs in top of the ark if the ark was a super capacitor with one cherub grounded to the inside and the other to the outside. Thus it could seem to be a comms device to God

Oh and our leaders know about them andthe aliens want us to join an extra terrestial Federation like in Star Trek, but the aliens dont think we are quite ready to know all this (inspite of the fact they keep buzzing the planet with their saucers and cylinders).

Oh and the late Duke of Edinburgh was up on all this and the aliens dropped in for a cup of tea with Lord Moutbatten, with their cylinder ship hovering over his home, as witnessed by an employee cycling there.

The effervescant guy introducing  the stuff was a real weirdo, high on this stuff, with hair that had clearly gotten an electric shock treatment. well I suppose a way to make a living? Makes  you realise how fragile  human belief is?

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

It seems either the aliens come through a hole in the sun portal or from another planet in the solar system. An eps looked again at Mars. remember that skull looking rock that was seen from space?  So the speculation is that they are all now dead andwanted to leave a momento mori saying they were there. That a later image showed it was gone was glossed well they are not all dead and they decided to rub it out not wanting the attention.

Oh remember the pyramid and sphinx in Egypt well there is also these on mars well if you believe that that mountain is a pyramid and the vague shape in front is the sphinx, you have to be desperate to think that though.  Oh and that vague shape on the rock is a martian  out for a stroll.  ( pictures from NASA )

Seems like the Spanish flu last century was an attempt by some bad aliens  to rub us out - of course they want  the planet so would use  biological warefare to get rid the the scum humans.  Just as well the programmes made before Covid as I am sure the nutjobs would interpret as another attempt.

if you choose not to believe the above  you can always adhere to the idea they have been here hidden under ground even at the planets core. evidence of this was a fire fight between some yanks soldiers who were investigating a tunnel and came across some of them incl a 7foot tall one of the "Greys. The soldiers were  all killed. figures.

And if you find it hard to believe all this then you can always believe the so called "Greys"  those small thin bug eyed aliens every one see are in fact evolved humans from the future who  go back in time to stop us messing up the planet. Though why they keep on abducting people and anal probing is hard to understand

It just makes me feel that some of us here have some real serious issues that need sorting.  Going through life saying these sorts of things... Wow, I don't think I'd have the energy.

2020.  Meh.

I took merc's posts to be just summarizing the shows rather than actually making any claims.

I didn't get that impression, but even if that's the case, a viewer (who's not paid to watch it) must be agreeing with the content quite a bit to make it through that much of it.

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

Could just find it entertaining. I'd say no one could simultaneously hold that many different kookypants narratives were i not aware of kyrie irving.

And of course he also spread Alex Jones BS...

why should  you think I agree with this stuff. I originally valued the "Ancient Aliens" eps as you got a look at various ancient sites I had never heard of like Puma Punku with its  massive capital letter "H" block stones( lots of them). claims being made were incidental.

As I watched more of the eps I felt there were loads of people living in an alternative universe to me. I was truly amazed at the weird seductive combination of fact and (crackpot) interpretation by intelligent people, roping in serious profesionals on matter of science who allowed them selves to be party to this.  maybe this is all sane in the USA.

There must be members here from the UK who might want to watch this series of shows and just experience wonder at the human situation. makes you wonder what being sane is. The closest I have even been to this sort of thing is evangelical religeon

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

Unlike with religeon where there is a paucity of facts, what there are , are historical, here there is an endless contemprary supply that feed the compulsion to intertpret in crazy ways.

I think it is a religion to these guys, to me it's endless hours of comedy, lolz, lol, like the narrator on Ancient Aliens will make a statement like, "Here is a 10,000 year old toilet bowl, (and then respond with), this is clear evidence of extraterrestrial life."  It's always the same insane leap in logic with no connecting points to their conclusion; it lands like comedy.  I love the footage though, as they go to uncommon places without much historical record, that are rarely shown on TV.

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

One show dealt with north american Indians who seem to have traditions that easily can be latched onto by the "Ancient Astronaut Theorists" A very interesting one is about the so called 4 Corners Region in the USA that used to be the stomping ground of the Pueblo indians who did not live in teepees but settlements

The camera zooms over a barren plateau then you find a long crack in the ground and lo behold a large rift with a river flowing through. At the bottom on various faces ancient "Petroglyphs" left by the natives way back then. A discussion of their culture - just ignore the  extra terrestial slant

yes you are missing the point. I find it fascinating, it is a story about human rationality; and as was said by Paisley1 we see places you otherwise do not see like the Pueblo 4 Corners Region.

Everyone who watches Ancient Aliens complains about it and does the exact same thing as Merc, we go on and on and on about how Giorgio A Tsoukalos (he was in Resident Alien) is a nut and how nobody makes any sense, or thinks rationally, or talks honestly, but flies off to wild conclusions trying to make their ancient alien theory fit the episodes narrative instead of allowing the evidence lead where it may; but because it's so tightly put together and they go to so many interesting places, it's a great ride to watch....sometimes; some episodes are just terrible, which is another reason to complain.

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

Wow 19 seasons and running! Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is the guy with the wild hair

maybe move the Blaze channel stuff here. Not sure I have much more to say. I still have lots of the eps to watch for entertainment.  Blaze has a number of shows of which one is the Ancient Aliens. Others are more to do with current  UFO sitings - "Evidence of the Unexplained", "Alien Files Unsealed". I think their shows are just a one week wonder. But worth the view. Lots of crazy stuff- NAZI UFOs, Earth Portals, UFO hotspots, Count down to disclosure..Aborigine Dream time, The Mysterious Nine federation to name a few

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

Okay, I've merged both threads and updated the first post and title to better fit the merged thread content.

spot on. He clearly thinks he is one. The other UFO shows that Blaze is running shows contemporary evidence that is strangely compelling

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

I've seen the memes with that bloke, looking totally stoned, and I wondered where he was from.

But this thread just seems to go to great length to explain how bad a TV show this is, with lots of screen grabs and explanations, and I just thought to myself why on earth would someone bother wasting their time on something they don't like.  Now I'm wondering whether I should watch it or not!

you missing the point we do like it! but not for the intended reasons we aint true believers. It is a strange concoction of  documentary reality and craziness. You can imagine meeting these people and talking about normal things not realising they have strange thinking processes on other matters. I see a foot print in the sand you see the foot print in the sand, they see a foot print of an alien on his way back to his space ship after having helped the locals build their town walls. we enjoy their craziness but do not share it

Re: Ancient Aliens [Documentary, Pseudoscience]

Do we read anything into this being on a channel called 'Blaze' in the UK whereas here in the colonies it's on the History channel?
