Re: The Recruit

This one is fun. Also the cast is great with a familiar faces from Superstore and Orphan Black.

Cool, want to give it a try!

Re: The Recruit

Cool show! smile Watched 1x1 and 1x2 so far, and I agree with IMDb users, it's only slightly less good than https://next-episode.net/tom-clancys-jack-ryan.

If you've wondered about the strange episode names (1x3 is named "Y.D.E.K.W.Y.D."; I don't recall ever seeing stranger ones! big_smile ), see https://www.distractify.com/p/the-recruit-episode-names.

Re: The Recruit

Finished season 1! Good show, 8/10. The final three minutes could have been better, I hope it'll be renewed.

I wonder how much of the CIA insanity is based on reality. big_smile https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/ … s-answered doesn't answer everything, but it's better than nothing. smile

Re: The Recruit

Not normally the sort of thing I would watch but tried it any way and a great series it is but tarnished by often poor diction making it hard to understand what they are saying - and it is the dialogue that is so important

I don't share that sentiment. Was there too much CIA terminology for your taste, or was it something else?

no just poor diction. bad actor training. or maybe you are american so that is normal, slurring words?

I'm not American but I talk to US folks every now and then. I thought the acting was mostly great.

I thought the acting also great but not the diction pronounciation of words So many of the dialogies I had to guess what was being said.

Strange... but you could have used subtitles. smile

Re: The Recruit

now finished it and it was a great series.

Re: The Recruit

I liked it. Had a bit much of the 'every character coincidentally knows each other' thing but I imagine that's just to save on casting. Pronunciation seemed fine to me - i.e. I had to slow it down to 1.8x with subs to watch it without backtracking. That signals to me they're talking closer to actual American speed rather than the excruciatingly slowed down dialogue a lot of shows have.
