Lin is an escaped convict with a false passport, who flees a maximum security prison in Australia for the teeming streets of Bombay where he can disappear. Accompanied by his guide and faithful friend, Prabaker, the two enter Bombay's hidden society of beggars, gangsters, prostitutes, holy men, soldiers, actors... Indians - and exiles from other countries - who seek in this remarkable place what they cannot find elsewhere.

Worth watching? Like many apple+ shows I'm half convinced the summary was made with MadLibs.

I'm hoping, I like the lead actor, he was great in Sons of Anarchy.

I've just watched the first episode, I think it's a keeper so far. I was even pretty impressed by Charlie Hunnam's take on the Aussie accent, our accent is usually butchered by Hollywood.

I can pretty much guarantee I'll watch all 12 episodes. The first couple episodes have the feel of a full feature film.
Somehow the backdrop of Bombay, in that part of the city, adds to the intrigue.

Yes, it's a good show, also, Madlibs sounds fun, let's play a game:

______ is an _______with a false passport, who flees a ___________ in ______ for the teeming streets of _______ where he can ______. Accompanied by his ________ friend, _______, the two enter ________'s hidden society of ___________________________________ - who seek in this _________ place what they cannot find elsewhere.

...you're right, they're probably made by madlibs.

You're good at this. you may want to try it on Essex Serpent, Echo 3 and Bad Monkey. Though regarding the latter I'm a bit concerned that the showrunner went with 'severed arm' as their first noun choice.

Sounds like the consensus is that this show's good so I added to watchlist.

Severed arm?, from captain foot in mouth Bill Lawrence, yup, sounds about right; he'd be great at Madlibs, also, yes, all those shows (I went through them) sound inspired by a madlibs TV premise generator.

I enjoy Shantaram, even though some of it comes off slightly heavy handed....I had a few eye rolls, but that's part of it's charm.  Enjoyed 104.

Gave it a shot. Not a bad show but I turned off halfway through pilot. Just didn't grab me and my queue is way too huge already.
