It's great to see Jeff Bridges in a good new show, this is one for the watchlist.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

Yeah, good show so far. Would have posted tomorrow (after finishing 1x2). smile The show is a bit slow at times, but 1x1 had one of THE most intense one-on-one fight scenes ever! Top quality.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

Yep, brilliant intense scene that one smile

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

Really good so far. That fight was impressive - rare to see anything on that front that's not been done a million times.

Spoiler

And the young Lithgow actor nailed it.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

I agree with all the comments, e01 was a bit slow particularly at the beginning but then the story and action improved definitely one to continue watching.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

I liked all younger version actors. Many other shows screw this up.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

Slow, but just brilliant. Like it a lot!

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

1x3: I love how they set things up in the beginning to creatively destroy certain expectations from 1x2. smile

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

This is some gripping shit.

No fat.

WFT, was The Dude's dead wife Marcia Logan from "Succession"?

The younger John Lithgow was uncannily accurate.

Spoiler

The daughter being revealed as dead for 20 years and the staffer answering calls as her is a giant puzzler to be revealed

The 2 dogs remind me of the silent shiny-suited bad boy Mexican hombres from Breaking Bad.

Yep, that was how he got his daughter to stop running with him. It's also how she managed to get her position in the CIA with no one realising she was the Old Man's daughter.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

Started pretty well... loved the first 3 episodes.... okay EP4 but Ep5 and EP6 were kind of booooooring. Let's see what EP7 brings.

I agree, it does seem to have slowed down.  EP7 wasn't much better IMHO.

2020.  Meh.

Re: The Old Man [Drama, Action, Thriller]

It's slow, but not in a boring way. I think this is the best show going atm.

Exactly! smile Good shows can be slow, it's just the low quality shows that become annoying if the poor story doesn't happen fast enough. cool
