The Last Kingdom

In my opinion the last season was rather disappointing most of the time. Everything felt a bit lazy written(*), rushed and all over the place... it had a couple of strong moments but most of the time I had a feeling the writers just had to "wrap up". Also maybe since the visuals did not really support how much time has passed. Uthred should have been around 60, but they didn't even care to make him look a bit aged and worn. Same for couple of other key characters.

It is simple things like this which kind of make the difference between a truly great show and "just alright"

Still enjoyed Last Kingdom series, worth revisiting in a few years.

A battle hardened Viking, erm Saxon, warrior in his end 50s wouldn't necessarily be a grandpa on crutches.... as also demonstrated well enough by e.g.

It is not the main thing, but puts me off as something which breaks immersion and story telling... the main thing why I won't rate this season that high way that I felt a lot of story arcs were quite rushed and some characters just killed without due respect to their role in the show over the years...

But well, like said... okay season to wrap it all up, but for me far from the best within the series.
